Offline | Faster, Johnny? I had to pull the trigger a little sooner than I wanted too (I couldn't take a chance on somebody else buying it before me), but I just bought a 2005 DS/White Cooper 'S'. It is exactly what I needed - sport package, LSD and no sunroof. Let the modding begin (again!) ![]() |

Offline | Congrats. We all knew you couldn't stay away for long. ![]() So where is the horsepower going to come from this time around? GTT? Dinan? And I agree, can't change the user name! ![]() ![]() www.MINICalgary.com |

Offline | I had an '05 JCW ('Tobias') that I was going to sell so I could take deIivery of a Chili Red CE. I had one earmarked for me that we had acquired from MINI Brossard, but I sold it before I ever drove it. Then I sold 'Tobias' to purchase a Lotus Elise, which I still have. But the Subaru I got for a winter car I have just sold so I could get the '05 I just bought. Still with me ? |

Offline | No wonder it was tough to keep up. I remember the Elise now. Since buying Velveteen I am relatively stable with my daily drivers. It's the collector car changes that confuse people. I think I'm OK for a while with the MINI CE and the Bug Eye when it's done. Does this mean we'll see you at Rally in the Valley in either an Elise or MINI? |

Offline | I'm working on it. You may find this odd and surprising, but I can never stick with a decision for more than 10 minutes! Seeing has I've proven to myself I have to have one, I'll be keeeping this MINI a few years. I would love to drive the Lotus out to RITV, but I may let it go in June - it would be the sensible thing to do, but everytime I get to take it for a drive (last Sunday was the most recent) I find I change my mind. I lost my Dad's boat anchor when the rope snapped two summers ago. One of them would make a suitable replacement. ![]() |

Offline | You've got that right. People look at me like I've lost my marbles when I tell them that the steering response in a MINI is in the same league as the Lotus, it doesn't give up a thing to it in the 'fun to drive' department, and of the two, it is much more comfortable road car (though people usually believe that bit) |
