Offline | I'm getting the bike today, I have no idea if it will fit in the mini. I can fit three sets of golf clubs, bags and all in the back as well as two golf carts so a bike with the wheel off may fit, however I don't want to incase I scratch up the inside. So i'm looking at a rear fitting rack, not a roof rack. I wonder how many people will turn up this time. |

| MINI2 Master | This meet is less than two weeks away and many seem interested. Hopefully this will mean better success than last time when perhaps we set it up too early. This is off topic now but the MINI's interior does scratch easily so I too would be worried about putting a bike in there. Our son's stroller put a small scratch in the side already... Are you getting a hatch hugger or are you installing a hitch? Did you get a chance to download your pictures of the last meet? I posted a couple of mine in my gallery. | MINI2 Senior Derelict | Where abouts are we going to meet in relation to Kelso park? If I remember correctly Kelso charges you to enter the parking area of the park, something like $3.50. Seems pointless if we're all charged that much just to stop in the parking for 10 mins while we wait for everyone. Anyone know anywhere near Kelso that we can meet or know if we're even going to be charged? Paul |

| MINI2 Master | Paul, I thought you suggested meeting near Kelso Park in the first place Do you know a place there where we can meet or should we pick another place?Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! | MINI2 Senior Derelict | Okay, here's the deal. Went out there today as it seems it takes longer to get there than 15 mins, especially when the east bound 401 is closed and everyone and their mother on the west bound with me wants to see why!!! Arh! Alright. There are a couple of options. 1) At the top of the escarpment on steels just south of Kelso there is a Limestone mine. It will be closed by the entry are infront of the gates is pretty large. It's dirt though but should be enough room for several cars. 2) There are several resturants (McDs, Kellsey's, etc) on the 25 south of the 401 north of Steels. This seems to work and those that are game we can grab Breakfast at one of these places before we set out. We can then take Bronte road south to hwy 5 and the Burlington/Waterdown area. 3) Scrap the Kelso area and meet someone nearer the area of Snake Road/Waterdown Road in Burlington/Waterdown. As for the hut area near the entrance to the park it could be busy on a Sunday in the fall. There were no stopping signs all over the area. Any of these options work for me. Paul |

| MINI2 Master | I vote for #2, a restaurant. More interesting that sitting in a dirt/gravel driveway waiting for people to arrive! I haven't had either McD's or Kelsey's breakfast recently so we can quibble over which would be better. Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! | MINI2 Senior Derelict | Does Kelsey's even do Breakfast? No mention on their website. Here's the area we're talking about, thanks to Kelsey's we've got a map. ![]() I vote for Keysey's if they do breakfast, if not we can find something next door. While I like McD's last thing I need before heading on Snake Road with the MINI is a lead weight in my gut in the form of a Sausage and Egg McMuffin. ![]() I love the Internet... A quick search of the Milton Chamber of Commerce business directory for "Restaurant" revels several in the area. One stuck out...The Fifth Wheel Truck Stop. According to that link they offer "All Day Breakfast" and their on the same street as Kelsey's. Sounds good to me. Oh! Here's the Menu! hehe. | MINI2 Master | Everyone still keen on the 20th? Still keen on meeting up near Kelso? I for one am looking forward to the drive down to the Waterdown area and the drive in the Waterdown/Burlington area so I don't care if there are just one or two other cars but it would be neat if we could make it a bigger meet! Offline | Burlington, Ontario, Canada run anyone? Good day Gentlemen. I have been following your idea of a run for a couple of days. I too live in the GTA, although on the eastern edge. I would love to join in on your run but unfortunatly I will be down in the USA (West Virginia area got to love those mountain roads! ) on that week end. Please keep me informed of any other outings you may be planning, would love to meet up! Andy. ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | Jay, tell your dealer you have a very important weekend so they better PDI it by Friday at the latest! Good luck in getting it and all the license, paperwork, etc. done by Friday. Hope to see you on Sunday in your new ride. Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! | MINI2 Master | Andy, sorry you can't make it this weekend. Hopefully we'll have another one sometime soon. It doesn't snow usually until late December or even early January but you never know. Oh well, perhaps we could even have a MINI run in the snow once we get our snow tires... Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! | MINI2 Master | Sounds like it will be a well attended meet then! Good stuff.
