Offline | Mike, you must be the kindest person in the world, as well as a great caravan member. After reading your posts about waxing and care of the finish, I don't see how you kept from hitting me as I used "brand X" spray on wax on our MINI. Thanks for restraining yourself. Waiting for the new wax to arrive. ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | Anyone have details on the meet nearest to the Canadian Grand Prix? Sounds very tempting! Offline | Harry, check out this link for the '02 edition: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...referrerid=757 I noticed a reply from you on there. It is probably too early for MINI meet plans, but if you plan on attending the GP, tickets go sale to the general public on November 1, I believe. |

Offline | Canada?? as Forrest Gump would say, "that's a whole nuther country" I've heard good things about Mini Meet East. But that's way too far for me! Remember I'm just 200+ miles from Cuba! Super Cooper will be there in spirit. . . . Sharon & Marcos |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | The hubby and I both have valid passports, but I don't think you need them for a short trip to Canada. I've been to Canada on a day trip a few times, and Mexico lots of times without needing a passport. I'll look it up later and post, if someone doesn't come up with an answer first. ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | Aprilwhine, We met at the Euro Fest. Won't make it to the East meet but I will be in Canada around June sometime. My folks have a place on this lake which they open up around the time the ice melts off the water. http://www.city.kenora.on.ca/ Lots of hills and turns on some of the roads around the area. Takes around 34 hours travel from central Florida to get there. Longer if you take the back roads. One of the issues with the lake is that most of the traveling is by boat when you are at the camp. The lake has 14,000 islands skatered around the area. Yes you can get lost. Fun place to relax and get away from it all. Population is only around 15,000. Increases four fould in the summer. Check it out. Doug |

Offline | April Two years ago my sister went on her honeymoon to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. She needed her passport then. It might be that she was going further north than we are and that she flew in and we are driving. Enough about that. It is not that you need a passport to get into Canada, it is that you might need it to get back into the USA. Proof of residency - some sort of government issued id/residency card, driver's license, state residency card, or passport. My daughter(18) used her passport, no visa required. I know that I will be using my passport. paddy "We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail..." -- President George W. Bush - Sept. 20, 2001 |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | Thanks for the link, dpilgrim, it's a beautiful place! Paddy, the hubby and I have blue passports that we will bring. I just thought most people don't have passports and that might discourage them from attending. I'll check into it and post an answer when I find one. ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | Not according to Canadian Immigration _________________ However, they may not ask to see it (they didn't when we drove north to Vancouver). A driver's licence is not valid proof of identification is these cases, especially after 9/11 |
