| MINI2 Regular | I know of one other launch edition cooper in Nanaimo, but have actually seen her on the road yet. Apparently there are 10 coopers at mini victoria for the choosing. Should offer them to the desperate americans if they can't sell them here.. see you, -uu sad goodbye to 2002 Chili MCS Happy hello to BRG JCW MCSC |

Offline | 'fraid so. Couldn't get the hang of the manual gears starting up on a slope. I even went to a driving school to help. I have ordered a (hate to say it) a CVT with as many of the same specs as possible. Maybe I will get another S when I have more driving experience. |

Offline | I shall be going with the Indi Blue, white roof and bonnet stripes again but this time with the Sports package, Aerodynamic kit and Alarm. Also seriously thinking about getting the white rear indicators. It will be a March build, so I won’t be driving around Vancouver Island until May. I feel sorry for my ex-Cooper S at the dealership because it is getting very dusty due to all the renovations taking place there. |

Offline | Sounds nice! What about a Union Jack for the roof?I know what you mean about the dealer, the place is a mess but talking to the people there it sounds like it will look good when they are all done.It would be nice if they had a grand opening and invited all those that have bought from them.I would enjoy meeting some other MINI owners,I have only seen about 5 on the road in 18k's of driving As an aside,I was quite pleased with the service dept. while I was at the dealer, they also have a new parts guy who seems very excited about the MINI. ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, I'm here too -- Victoria Chinatown. I'm seriously considering a Cooper S -- I'm just waiting for the bugs to be worked out -- and I'm trying to wrap my head around that awful interior and its weight. I'm sure it will happen, as their are no other options here for a good small car (except for my current modified Renault R5 -- don't laugh -- 150,000 km, and it has NEVER broken down -- and it weighs 1800 lbs). The Golf is a pig, and the Focus is a Ford. Clio Cup, please. Bring on the encouragement! Here's to small cars |

| MINI2 Regular | The Mini is a fantatsic car for Vancouver Island. With all the hills and curves there is no other car like it. Take one for a test drive through the highlands, the back way to Goldstream -it's a blast. Next time I'm talking to Ted or Augie, I'll suggest a meet. We could all do the same! -uu sad goodbye to 2002 Chili MCS Happy hello to BRG JCW MCSC |

Offline | Only other Minis I've seen around Nanaimo is a chili/red (works at hospital maybe, seen parked there) and only once a indi/white with union jack on roof. Either of these belong to any of you? MCS DrkSlvr/Blk lapis |

Offline | Sorry from Toronto, would like to come to a meet in Vancouver. We are having a meet tomorrow. It started pretty much like your thread. If you really trully want to meet just make a date and time then people will start to respond that is exactly what we did. We should have around 25 mini owners attending. It only started to take off when a date was established. Good luck Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | Weeber, the indi/white with the uj is mine I think a meet would be great, too bad there aren't more from the Island on this board. As uua said there are some great roads here.It would be nice if Ted or Augie had an open house for all their MINI customers when the renos are done. |

| MINI2 Regular | That was my Chili/Black S at the hospital (probably). Often seen parked illegally at the outpatient / cancer clinic entrance. Come up and tap on the window and see if my Avatar leaps up to try and rip your head off!!! -uu sad goodbye to 2002 Chili MCS Happy hello to BRG JCW MCSC |
