Wow! Look at all that positive MINI spirit

Sounds like fun - count me in if my JB/JB MCS arrives as promissed on Feb 3rd. I'm crossing my fingers.

Should've had it for Superbowl Sunday excepting for a royal DUMPING of snow in Halifax!

Sorry to hear that minimc. Hope it does get here in time. Don't be too angry. Mother Nature simply doesn't know any better. Mine ended up getting to me 3 weeks late. I was told I'd have it by the August long weekend and didn't take delivery until Sept 17th. The Mini is my only car and I had to cancel all my long weekend plans that included driving anywhere outside my house. Alas, all is forgotten once you get behind that wheel. Hope to see you on the 9th.

Not angry at all, I've had time to gain perspective & mellow - been waiting since last Feb!

Was #7 in Canada, but ordered the front windscreen defroster feature and watched as my car got backlogged. The original promised delivery date of June was moved back to July, then to September, then to late January. So Feb 3 due to snow seems like par for the course.

It'd just be a shame not to have my MCS here in time for the meet.

Okay, we have the date of Feb 9th. Some of us have agreed that Oakville is the area to meet. All we need to do now is norrow it down a little to a location in Oakville.

Last thing we have to agree on would be time, 14:00? earlier/later? any suggestions?

I was thinking, because of the small parking lot available at Mini Oakville, directly across the street is a big parkling lot for an abondoned warehouse. Well at least I think its abandoned, last time I went to Mini Oakville, this warehouse parkling lot was empty. So if theres not enough room, we could just park there.

Sure beats having to park on the street!

Well actually I can, seeing I have to go for a catscan on Feb. 6, gotta make sure my spleen is ok!! I just don't like drinking all that nasty dye they make me drink!

But I still look forward to the meet!! Can't wait to see a bunch of Mini's!!

Drink? When I was a kid I had a cat scan of my brain and they injected me with two siringes of dye. I swear they were the biggest siringes I've ever seen. To make matters worse they don't remove the needle they just unscrew the siringe and scew another one on. I don't know how many CCs they were each but I'd say they were around 150ml each. Granted I'm sure they've gotten bigger as I've gotten older and told this story as that was 20 years ago.

Hope everything checks out with your scan.

Back to the topic at hand...See everyone on the 9th. If all goes well I'm hoping to have my black grill installed on my MCS by then.

Our lot isn't too bad when we are closed. We should be o.k. I'll bring a digicam as well for some pics. If not though, across the street should be o.k. It is not abandoned but I don't think anyone will be there on a Sunday....
