paulmon, yes I have to drink 3 rather large glasses of dye, 2 containing red dye, and 1 containing white dye, and yes, I also need a syringe with dye too. Seems like alot of dye doens't it. Ah well!

Ok back to the topic, I'm gonna bring my digital camera too for some pics. JohnnyBoy, you gonna post the pics on www.MiniOakville.com? That would be kinda fun! Well, look forward to seeing everyone!

Does anyone know if there is a car wash nearby?

aircanuck,

If you were coming from Toronto I would of suggested that you go to Denny's car wash on Mavis and I believe Dundas. They do an awesome job on the car. Touch free too. I most likely will be visiting them prior to the meet. If you want to make the journey aircanuck it is worth the time to visit Dennys.

Cheers

Red Cooper Lets meet at Mini Oakville

Where are we meeting? Mini Oakville or the abandoned warehouse across the street as suggested by miniman7.
The only problem is, is that I was at Mini Oakville on friday and never noticed an abandoned warehouse!
So how about we just meet at Mini Oakville and go from there. Lets meet at Mini Oakville as planned.

Let me cast a second vote of recommendation for the DIY car wash at the Northwest corner of Mavis and Dundas. I love that place and go there every chance I get.

Canada Mini Oakville Meet

tip, no worries, the big parking lot is just across the street, its not far at all. It's directly across the street, not down the street, so no worries.

We will just meet at Mini Oakville, so there's no confusion. Hope to see everyone there!

I'm fond of "Fine Details" myself at Dixie and Dundas. $10 gets you a full exterior 100% no machine handwash. The only machine they use is a pressure washer and only in the winter to get rid of the road grime. The wash inside the spokes of the wheels and everything, wipe the sills. Do a great job and then hand dry it 100%. For $10 it is hard to beat. For $30 they do the full inside and outside with vacume and clean the windows. Check out www.finedetails.org for locations and pricing. I've been to one other franchise but wasn't happy and found this one the best so far. The only problem is you need an appointment.

Cheers,

Paul

Which was the franchise you didn't like? The one on Ridgeway is about the same distance from me as Dixie & Dundas.

I've posted this event on the calendar page. Here's the link:

http://www.mini2.com/forum/calendar....th=2&year=2003

Another thought: once the meet is underway, perhaps we can head off to a local restaurant/pub/grazing station? If that's the case, there'd have to be a pretty firm list of people, along with someone willing to book a table.

Just a thought.

The franchise in Brampton, they just didn't seem to go that extra mile that the one at Dixie/Dundas does. Water spots, stuff like that.

Not a bad thought.
Do you have place in mind? Just Pub Grub would be good.

Now I'm excited. I'll be bringing my camera. For car cleaning (when it's too cold to enjoy doing it myself) my vote is for the Fine Details right by the Oakville Go station. Not sure of the actual address but those guys go the extra mile. Spotless when I get in. They even pulled me aside and pointed out a problem with my paint. Nice guys. Turned out it was just some tough adhesive spray and Mini Oakville took care of it lickety split. See everyone on the ninth.

Electic Blue S

So just how many electric blue mini's are going to be there? I see Miniman7, LittleDeuceCoupe, and myself! That'll make one pretty picture, no doubt!

LittleDeuceCoupe, about how far from budd's is this place, since I'm coming from Niagara it'll be tough to hit the carwash the others are speaking so highly about.

Anywho, see you all in 1 week, 6 days!

Cheers,

Neil
