First Milestone!

Today we hit our 30th entrant for The Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet!

We're limiting this year's event to only 50 MINIs. If you want in on this amazing MINI September Weekend Adventure (with a superb Track Experience Day) it's time for you to act!

Get over to the official site and get in on the action. Download the pdf, get the scoop, and get in the door.

MINI Meet Awards

You know about The Greatest MINI Event This Year, so here's a teaser if you haven't already registered:

Announcing the Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet Awards - and your MINI can enter! (Well, it can enter if you're one of our Meet participants. There's room for only 13 more MINIs, so sign up!)

Here are the categories:

Best MINI Colour Combo

Best MINI Graphics

Best MINI Exterior Modifications

Best MINI Interior Modifications

Best MINI Performance Modifications

And the coveted

Wolfe Island Canada MINI Of The Year!

Entering your MINI is easy. Just email me at robert@MINImeet.ca and tell me in which category (or categories) you want your MINI entered. We'll have your entry number and categories for you at the Meet Registration Desk in Kingston on September 13th.

The MINIs that enter will be parked in a special place on Saturday for all our participants to view. Each of us will have a vote for each category. We'll tabulate the results and present the Awards to the winners during our evening festivities.

Don't be shy - Dress your MINI up and enter that baby in the Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet Awards!

Fine Print: You must be a Wolfe Island Canda MINI Meet participant, and you must advise me of your entry and categories NO LATER THAN AUGUST 15th. (There is NO cost to enter the Awards contest).

That's it for now. More MINI Meet news as it happens...!

8 Spots Left!

If you've been holding out, waiting to see what would happen, well, it's now time to make your move!

The Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet (Kingston, Wolfe Island & Shannonville Race Track) has room left for only 8 MINIs. We've got 42 participant MINIs joining us on Sept. 13 & 14, and a little room left for you!

What are you waiting for? This grassroots initiative is going to ROCK! It's going to be MINIamazing!

MINImeet 2003 Wrap Up

Sept 15

Hey MINIacs:

Thanks to every one of you, from 4 States and 2 Provinces!

The Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet would not have happened, or been such a MINIamazing success without your support and enthusiasm. Our Wolfe Island & Kingston volunteers enjoyed every minute with us, and are counting down until we do it again next year! The boat crew wants us back in February to brighten up the winter!

We've opened up a new discussion topic on http://MINImeet.ca. Look for the "Stay In Touch - Post Event Discussion" right at the top of the list. The direct link to the topics is:

http://www.minimeet.ca/discussionforums.shtml

Please use this topic to share contact info, links to urls of pictures, etc.

We'll be adding a gallery of event pictures in the near future, and re-tooling the site to create an archive of 2003. The new main site will be the 2004 Meet.

At http://www.somc.on.ca/myegallery.php...howgall&gid=16 The Southern Ontario MINI Club has hosted a great gallery of our pics. Check them out! There are incredible shots of 50 MINIs on a ferry!

Thank you for the completed surveys. They were well thought out, and have given us great ideas for the next THREE years! And yes, I was surprised by the gravel road too. You won't see that street ever again, that's for sure!

Any comments or suggestions you would like to make about our Track Experience Day would be appreciated. Send me an email, or use the new discussion topic.

(Thanks again Jack and Laurie. You two were amazing. I can't wait to get in another day at the track. I don't think I'm waiting a year, though!).

We made it on the front page of the Kingston Whig and the Watertown (NY) Daily Times.

That's it for now. You'll hear from me, and I'll be posting on the http://MINImeet.ca web site. Think about subscribing to the new topic so you'll know when someone is trying to contact you, or is sharing pictures or comments with us.

Here we go again: One year and counting.........

To be added to the MINImeet 2004 Update list, just email me at robert@MINImeet.ca

See you next September!

MINImeet Slide Show - Amazing!

You've been waiting for this! MINImeet 2003: "36 Hours In 5 Minutes"! The ultimate Wolfe Island Canada MINImeet Slide Show. It's fantastic and covers everything from Saturday's boat lineup and 50 MINI ferry ride, evening events, the convoy to Shannonville, and Sunday's amazing Track Experience Day!

You can see the show right now at http://MINImeet.ca

The file is 13 megs, and downloads to ram, not your hard drive (although you can save it to your hard drive if you wish). Depending on your connection speed it will take up to a few minutes to start up. The file downloads nicely in the background, so it won't interefere with anything you're doing.

Pictures were contributed by a number of the MINImeet participants. You guys are great photographers!

Share the http://MINImeet.ca address with anyone you know that is intrigued by the MINI and it's enthusiast owners. You gotta see it to believe it!

You can also download from http://MINImeet.ca the two newspaper articles that gave our MINImeet front page coverage. Lot's of interviews: see your name in print!

MINImeet Fearless Video: MINIamazing!

This message was sent to our MINImeet list. If you're not on the list, and want to be, please email me at robert@MINImeet.ca and you'll be added for MINImeet 2004 Updates.

You gotta watch the video mentioned below!

=R=

Hey MINIacs:

You're going to love this!

One of our participants at The Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet was Al Maciulis, President of Fearless Film & Video Corporation (http://www.fearlessfilms.ca).

Al put his considerable talents to work and created a fantastic piece for us that captures MINImeet 2003 to a MINI! It's amazing!

Appearing now at MINImeet.ca:
Al's Fearless MINImeet Special => http://MINImeet.ca

Thanks Al. Your efforts are really appreciated.

And thanks again to William Stratas at Planetcast (http://Planetcast.com) for his web guidance, hosting and design.

MINImeet 2004: The Wolfe Island Adventure is in the works. Stay tuned!

In looking through this thread, I noticed a great looking MINI S with a Maryland flag on the roof. Who is the owner, where did you get the flag made up?? I think it looks great.
