Thanks, I'm down to my last few weeks. I'll put some miles on this summer before it gets nasty again. By the way how is the dealer in Calgary, just wondering as they'll be closest when I'm in E-town.

The dealer has been great! Great service when I picked the car up, and the one time I have had it in to have the 3M protection on the front replaced (There were bubbles in the original). Best service I have had from any dealership so far!

I got my IB/W MCS in June. Got 18,000km so far and loving it. My buddy bought a Silver/Black MCS a week later (he test drove with me and fell in love with it too).

That's 2 more for Winnipeg!

Time to start a Mini-club!

I am in Calgary, just got my new Mini Cooper S with all the bells and whistles, I would like to be contacted if there is any mini events going.

Question: Does anybody know of a method of hooking up the Ipod in the mini and having it fully controlable through the multi function steering wheel and factory HK deck?

I am in Calgary as well. Just got my MCS in January.
I am also currently hooking up an Ipod to my mini as well. I am hardwiring a dock in place, and fiberglassing it in place of the ash tray. So there will be NO wires showing. Still waiting on a AUX cable from MINI crowfoot. I realize it will not be controllable throught he MFSW, but I don't really need that feature.

If you want to use the MFSW you will have to get the Denison Ice-Link Kit. $299US. Check out their site at the link below. Or do a search on this site.

Hello hello, another Edmonton MINI. Silver/black Canadian Launch edition #98. I picked her up May 5th, 2002 from Victoria MINI. I have been coming to mini2 for some time now but I have not recently checked out the Western Canada are for some time now. It is nice to see a few more people getting the car lately.

If anyone has a MINI in Edmonton or is interested in getting one it is "official" that Edmonton will be getting a MINI dealer [finally] sometime in the spring of 2005. They will be located at Roper road and 75th Street. This now cuts down my service calls from a 600 km round trip to 30. The new dealer amy should also make the MINI less "exclusive" in Edmonton, I think there are only about 10 to 15 in Edmonton.

Hi all,
Make that another Edmonton MINI.
Picked up my Chili Red/White Cooper May 1st from MINI Crowfoot.
It's a Classic model, so no xenons, washers or ASC+T.
But it's got all the inherent goodness only a MINI can offer.

I don't see very many MINI's in Edmonton (although saw a EB/W MCS @ Castledowns YMCA last night, very nice) so hopefully the new dealership opening will help - also great news for servicing.
Jag Jag - that was probably your car I saw some months back returning from the airport along Hwy. 60 - it was PS/B with the R83 sport wheels, and I just had to adjust my speed to get a good look!
Come on you Edmontonians - more of you take the plunge - your MINI awaits you!

That PS/B you saw was probably me zooming around, I have about 46,000 K already on the MINI.

I can say that Edmotnon is well represented in the MINI Colour spectrum. There are two other PS/B's that I know of in town, one is an S. Funny thing, the guy with that S lives two blocks from me. I know of at least one other red/white combo in town, he got his shorty after mine, sometime in June 2002 but I don't see him around much. Apart from the MINI down the street I mostly see a grey/white S, a blue/white one and a nice BRG/white Cooper. I have also spotted a yellow/white one with advertising all over it. Still, there cannot be many more than 15 trolling the streets of Edmonton. So enjoy the exclusivity until the new dealer opens next year.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on the streets, give me a wave when you see me.

I was actually thinking Innisfail in mid September. There is an autocross there about that time.
We had a stealth/3000gt gathering there a few years back partly b/c it was central between Calgary/Edmonton/Red Deer, etc. I would love to have a group of MINI's show up and embarass the stealth/3000gt crew in the auto-x. Your thoughts? Maybe I will post a new thread to get some feedback.
