Taking a page from AprilWhine's book and with the suggestion of Tip, it's time for a few roll call threads.

Please post here if you live in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or Alberta and would like to be contacted for local events.

If western Canada stops at Alberta, what is BC? Westwestern Canada? Ultra-western Canada? Far-western Canada?

I made the decision to divvy up the regions based upon very rough demographics: the largest three (by population) provinces got their own roll calls, while the two remaining "regions" each had their own threads created.

Besides, there are three dealerships in BC, exactly the same number as in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba combined.

Western Canada stops at Alberta????? Where are you from???? Upper Canada...like Ontario???? There have been substantiated reports of semi-intellegent life west of Crowsnest ya know! Some even say here on Vancouver island.

Every other board I've participated on has drawn a sharp geographical demarcation between the lotus eaters and those on the flat side of the Rockies. Why mess with a good thing?

Anyways, like I said... BC has about about the same population (and corresponding number of dealerships) as the rest of the West. They should feel special.

How come no one around here has organized some sort of group rally or 'get-together'. I would just like to see what everyone has done to their MINIs (if anything). Are all of us Westerners just too busy to talk with each other?
I understand that there are quite a few owners in Calgary, but I haven't seen them. Since I got my 'S' I haven't even seen any others on the road.

I work Saturday to Tuesday evenings after 4:00 (large newspaper). Any other time to meet is OK by me.

What are you getting? When are you getting it? What options, colour,etc.
Congratulations, My Cooper 'S' drives like a dream come true... and with no problems so far. By the way - I just watched a GT race on SPEED network where BMW came in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I kind of felt proud (but that's only because I've never owned an expensive car before).
Enjoy - when you get down here and pick up your MINI. Then turn left and go back North.

Great to hear that your a proud owner (like everyone else here) with no problems. It is also my very first time dipping into this Bimmer lifestyle. But I still love my 78 Mini 1000 just wish I can drive it in the winter.
