Hey everyone!
For all the people around the Toronto area (or close by), there will be a meet for all us Mini owners to get to know each other and spend some time with other Mini's.

WOW, this is getting to be a big meet. Can't wait. Does MINI Oakville know that we're coming, or at the very least going to be across the street? I got my new black aero grill installed today so I'm all ready. Now if only this snow would melt and it would warm up so that I can get rid of the winter tires.

A shiny new thread just for us. I agree. The other thread was getting a bit long. I guess that kind of interest is a good thing. This is getting to be bigger than I anticipated... Great! Where is everyone comming from? If I do recall there will be people from Toronto through Niagra. Looks like this could soon be the 2003 Golden Horseshoe Mini Meet!!! See you all on the ninth. BTW.. Aircanuck... sorry I haven't replied earlier. I'm sure you already have found a place to wash your baby but the Fine Details in Oakville is off the QEW at the Trafalgar exit. It's a couple of exits past Budds so you'd be backtracking. Just in case check out www.finedetails.org. There are a bunch in the area and you may find one closer... although I can't vouch for them.

Actually LittleDeuceCoupe, that was EXACTLY what I needed. I am glad you told me, I'll hit that place because it sounds easiest. Is it open on Sundays, and do I need an appointment?

Nonetheless, my mini has met Miniman7's and now it wants to meet another EB mini

You'd be surprised how good they look next to eachother!!

I've never been to the Fine Details you're talking about but I know the the Fine Details I have been to are not open on a Sunday. Call them to make sure as you will need an appointment.

Thanks Paul... I was thinking about that after I posted. I'm not sure about Sundays myself (I've never gone on a Sunday) and although I've been known to drive down and they fit me in... an apointment wouldn't hurt. I'll be talking to a friend and coworker tomorrow. He's got a Chili Red 2003 Cooper. Have a feeling he might be coming along. BTW we need to get a few more EB Mini's out... Because WE know which colour turns the most heads.

Has anyone given any more thought to possibly adjourning to a restaurant later? There are a few chains (Lick's, Alice Fazoolis, Jack Astor's, etc.) all within easy reach of MINI Oakville.

Of course, I'm very open to other suggestions.

I agree, we should start thinking of a restaurant/place to go to afterwards. It would be a nice end to a motoring day!!

Just imagine how many heads we're gonna turn when people see about 15 Mini's drive by!

As for where to eat... There is a Caseys off Speers (and Kerr) I believe. Anyone familiar with Oakville will know it because it is where the old Movie theater is. The reason I suggest this is... Lots of Parking (it used to be a theater after all). Another suggestion is a farther trek out to the AMC complex (QEW and Winston Churchill). Lots O resturants (Alice Fazoolis, Eastside Marios, Boston Pizza, a little irish pub Rosie Magees as well as others) and again... on a Sunday afternoon, lots of parking. Although personally, I'm open to anything. A little drive certainly wouldn't hurt. I can only imagine the looks on peoples faces when they see that many Minis driving along. Smiles all around. As for the media. I though about that myself today but I'm not sure even where to start.

I'll just keep adding new names there, so theres not a million lists. Can't wait to see everyone. The list keeps growing and growing.

About the media, who do we contact?

And for food, Casey's sounds good to me? What does everyone else want?

Seems we have about 14 people for sure!! Thats going to be awesome! I can't wait. It will be cool if we get a picture in the news! I think its possible to call Cable 14 and tell them we're having a meet. Who knows, maybe we'll even be on television!! Yeehaw!

I might not be able to make it. Well, I will be there but my MINI may not be. I was in a little accident today....

My baby is in at Budds. They said it might be done by Thursday but depending on parts... but all I can do is hope. Keep the faith boys... keep the faith and wish me luck.

Depending on your location, I am sure that another Mini owner will let you ride along if you want to attend should your car not be ready.
