Offline | Another one? There's an exhaust issue in the states too! Madness! I agree with regualtions and safety concerned, but this is a case of tarring all people with the same brush (again). ![]() |

| Now With More Cowbell | Please don't take this as a personal jibe. It's not intended as such. I happend to agree with most of the sentiments in the petition. ![]() But please realize that online petitions have little to no effect on government policy. Rather, they're manifestations of "slacktivism", the idea that putting one's name to something constitutes participation in the political process. It's not. Calling your MPP, getting the commercial media involved, and taking the time to actually engage the process is what has a positive benefit. Again, I think the intent of the petition is sound. I agree with its principles. But it will not affect the Ontario govenment one iota. -CW Global Moderator |

Offline | It will be classic when a Polition goes and gets his car fixed and can't get the part he needs and opts of an aftermarket piece. Whilst he is leaving the garage police spot his car with the aftermarket part and bust him for street racing and having a modifide car. that would be to cool. Can you imagine what or how Mel Lastman would handle it if it happened to him? Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | I have to agree with Humourl3ss, the on-line petition will have little effect BUT, if those of you in Ontario each call or write your MP, there will be an effect. My experiance in the States is that an amazingly small number of constitiuent calls, particularly over a small span of time, can greatly affect a politition's possition on legislation. Real, hardcopy letters, post cards, and phone calls are what you want, and multiple letters, not one letter with a number of signatures. I think they decide by the pound. ![]() MC/VR/B/PP&SP/CVT/Xenon |

| MINI2 Regular | I don't take it as a personal jibe. In fact, my reason for posting it wasn't to solicit signatures but to draw awareness to Bill 241. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I will have to trailer my M3 to the track though it is street legal, since it may contain "prescribed" equipment. I just hope that I can avoid hassles once I put my aftermarket wheels and coilovers on my MCS. |
