Will Mini Oakville set me up with stripes

Hey guys, sorry to post this in here, but thought you'd all know best. I'm going to Mini Oakville on Thursday for Oil and that software upgrade that will hopefully fix the 2-3 start issue. They made a note that I want to get the bonnet stripes put on. But what are the chances that they'll actually be able to do it? Should I be talking to someone else about this instead of their service co-ordinator?

Thanks for the input! Great meet on Sunday, well done guys!

Neil

They did mine. They aren't factory installed. They do them at Mini Oakville so I don't see what the problem would be. Perhaps they wouldn't have them in stock. Don't give in to peer pressure. Get the stripes if you want 'em but there is nothing wrong with having a 'cute' car. Us EB's got to stick together.

EB CooperS /Sunroof,Sportpkg(white 17" S-lites),White roof N mirrors w. white bonnet stripes, Rally Lights, Lapis blue leather int. Back in the saddle again!

Thanks guys, I'll see if they have them in stock and go from there. LitteDeuce, not too much peer pressure, but I was always thinking about them and seeing yours in the flesh pushed me to decision. No driving lights though, so you'll still be plenty unique at the events

Thanks again!
Neil

I've always been thinking about the bonnet stripes to. I think they look nice, but not something that I'm dying for.

Ugh, that was sooo painful! I miss Pontiac
They (Mini) sent me on my way with a $35 dollar rental car and 70 bucks a stripe! They recommended they see my engine cold.
Don't go into Mini Oakville with loose change or they'll hold ya by your ankles and shake you. But this is all ok, because they have free cookies Hopefully the stripes will be on tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the help again.

LittleDeuce, I was talking to brad there, your last name is quite ironic to me It all makes sense now!

All this talk makes me want to get the bonnet stripes!!!

But my money is first going towards a Quicksilver exhaust and then a pulley, I hope to bring my MCS to 200hp!

Base: 163 hp
Mods: -intake 9 hp
-exhaust 13 hp
-pulley 15 hp

total: 200 hp

Neil,

I had aftermarket stripes put on at the dealer. The factory stripes had a black edge that I was not to keen on. They cost the same.

Charles

BRG/W MCS bonnet stripes ,white wheels, sport package, sunroof, heated seats, Alta pulley, Alta intake

Gordon, I have some show (white tail lights) and a bit of go (intake), but I'm thisting for some more go! What's so bad about wanting GO instead of SHOW?

Why would I want a car thats all show and now go? I don't like to be one of those Rice boys who just puts stickers and exhaust tips and big spoilers on their cars. Am I missing something? Isn't the usual saying "You're all show and no go?"

Hey Charles, sounds good if they can do it there! We'll see what happens. Yea I like your stripes on your car, perfect for that colour, but I am preferring the black edges. Just to make it look mean

I am with Gordon on this, white stripes won't make my insurance go up. While 200hp at 200km/h just screams insurance issues at me I'll take show, and a little fuel economy, please.

Oh yea and they have no idea why it takes two or three tries sometimes to start my car. But in case anyone is wondering, the Nissan Maxima they gave me for 35 beans starts just fine!

Neil, the insurance company doesn't have to know about the extra 37 hp.

MCS still have cold start problem? I thought a software update had fixed that? Something else then?

My latest fun is my car locks itself and rolls the windows up. New door actuators on order...

Harry, that's what everyone is telling me. Software issue, then I get to Oakville and they look at me like I am nuts. Ok so I am, but my car sometimes struggles to start!

They could be like mini markham and just not fix the part you ask to be fixed. Taking a month to order the part after you tell them the exact part it is.

Does anyone know a good mini dealer for service? I told them to fix my interior window trim and they replaced the outside while the inside one is the one which leaves all the grease on my window!!

Holy Monkey!
