I'm seriously shopping for a MCS in Clagary and I am wondering what people are paying for them. Dealer says full list price is what I must pay. My neighbor with a 2003 MCS says he paid about $1500-$2000 under list.

Any other advice about shopping for one? It's been 17 years since I bought a new car (or any car from a dealership - done the used car from private seller the last seven times I bought a car since 1986). I'm not stupid about cars, just inexperienced with dealers.

I'm not against driving to Vancouver, Saskatoon or Winnipeg to buy one if they are cheaper there.

I ordered mine from Mini Crowfoot - full list is what you pay - they are selling all they can get so no incentive for them to deal....

Most everyone is paying MSRP for 2003s...check with MINI Victoria for a quote.

Miniman7 - conflict? Is it my name? I didn't do that intentionally, zooooom (5x0 in my name) is a name I use on another BBS. Or is it a problem to ask about prices here?

I think people here in Vancouver are still selling the MCS at MSRP. If you were looking at Coopers and Mini Ones, they are a different story....substantial discounts are possible.

I have just ordered one from MINI Crowfoot as well, no room for price. The retail is what u paid for factory order. There is whole bunch of 02 in MINI Richmond, Vancouver. Go there and check it out as I heard they can take off 1-2k or even more for a 02.

Last time I asked them about the price over the phone on Jan. they already quoted me 2.5k for a discount. I cannot imagine how much discount you could get now! Well give them a call and ask about it. It sure won't hurt
