The event this Sunday is actually cancelled, because the Corel Center has revised its fees, and they are too high!

you can check out MCO's schedule for Solo-II at http://www.mco.org

You will notice that it says most events will take place a tJetform Park, but that wil most probably change...

i'm participating in the Solo-II events, but in my CRX only...as for Solo-I events, maybe I'll pass by, but I'm not sure I'll participate yet. I don't have a roll cage!

I have been considering it for quite some time. I did the driving courses at the Jim Russell racing school so I was more interested in Solo I since the go real circuit. I went to a SOLO II event last year at the St-Eustache track as a spectator and I thouht I should give it a try one day. The good thing is that you can try with basically nothing to invest.

yeah, the Solo-II event at the St-Eustache autodrome was the only one I missed last year! You should know that the events are actually different from that one. That day, it was a combo between solo-II and solo-I, so it was actually less complicated than a "regular" solo-II event.

IF you ever want to join us, let me know, we can maybe meet somewhere then go, or I can tell you a couple of things beforehand. I am planning on trying my MINI out at the Ottawa events (not MTL), so it would be cool if we could try ours out the same day.

I was at a local car show Friday night and the MCO had a booth setup showing some of their member's cars. I talked to one of the guys at the booth and he told me that the Jetform parking lot might not be used anymore because of noise complaints.

He says they are looking for other locations but they aren't having much luck. As far as the Corel center, I was told the biggest problem is management won't commit to a schedule for the parking lot. This is making it difficult to plan events for the MCO.

Your info is right...It would actually be better for the competitors to race at the Corel Center, so, if Corel decides to give us the same price as the first event, in a way, the noise complaint from Jetform could be a blessing. Personally, I didn't really mind Jetform park, but since the course was usually a really slow one, and that I have difficulty driving my car at low speeds (not the MINI), I would prefer having it at the Corel center But everyone would agree, that as long as we have SOME where to race, we're happy heh heh

I am going to try my best to watch the MCO forum for the next race. I can't believe I missed the last one.
