I got this flyer at Mini Waterloo on the weekend advertising a 'British Car Summer Picnic'. I heard from last year that this was a pretty big event and lots of British cars turned. Basically it is an excuse to show off your 'British' car and have a picnic. I think, if the weather is nice, that this will be a pretty cool day. I know it is a little drive for some but it would be great to see a lot of you guys there seeing I didn't make the last meet.

Here are the details:

It is on the 21st June at Waterloo West Park, Waterloo (enter at westmount Road just south of University Ave) A map is at this address www.sterlingmotors.on.ca/picnic.htm Car Registration is $10 at gate (Free to spectators). For more info call Chris at 519-742-6861 or Dave at 519-576-5521.

For me it really depends on the weather. I hope this gets some interest.

I have a wedding to attend that day and if the wedding is off then the Silverstone Black Bear Rally is near where we have the wedding hotel rooms booked anyhow. So... it looks like I won't be able to make it which is too bad.

That looks like fun - if the weather is nice. You shoul dpost on SOMC to see who's interested. Were you thinking of entering or just spectating?

I went into the big one at Bronte conservation area last fall and was one of only 3 MINIs. We were among the Mini Classics and everyone way very nice.

Hey Gordon,

I've put a post on the SOMC already, under the meets section. I'm definitely planning to display. For $10, you get a good parking space in the park and relax and have a picnic. It would be great to get lots of Minis together. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Fingers crossed!!
