hey everyone, I'm still new to this forum, but I was wondering about the waiting time for a Cooper S...when you say "nav", are you referring to the colour? please bare with me...

I live in Vancouver, BC, are the wait time about the same? how long should I expect for a wait time, even though I'm not buying my Mini till next year...any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey,

I think you should expect to wait at least 3-5 months, but don't quote me.

Also, "nav" refers to the Navagation System availble for the Mini's.

man that's a long time! so if i want my mini by the summer ...i have to buy order one by march or april! wow...ok...thank you!

No problem, but remember, those are just numbers that I'm pulling out of thin air. But I think thats within ballpark range.

If you are not picky on color and spec, ask the dealer and get what they have on the lot.

I order mine in Calgary back in March, getting the car soon.

depend if u have and special option or color u r looking for, i am pretty sure they have some pre spec stock at the dealer now, just call them up and check,

Yeah I am sure they have lots of stocks available in either Yaletown or Richmond. If the color/option combo you want isn't available, try ask your salesperson if such stock is available elsewhere (like Victoria or Alberta, you might have to ask them to do it, coz they are not that willing to do such a thing) then ship that to Vancouver for you. Good luck on your car purchase

We put our name on the waiting list for our MCS in April 2002, confirmed actual order early Aug ust 2002 and took delivery Nov 5th 2002. It was a 2003 model but part of the wait was due to the fact we wanted BRG and it was not available in 2002 for MCS.

i'm going to Mini Yaletown later on today. i might get my MCS by Christmas time instead of next summer! it's all about the instant gratification

do you think it's possible to get an MCS by Christmas time tho? I already know I have to order one from the factory because no dealership across Canada carries what I want on their lot, mainly because I'm getting so little added to it that most MCS's have at least a sunroof, or the Harmon Kardon sound system. I hope it's possible, does anyone know how long a factory order would take here in BC? or anywhere for that matter?

If you order now, you can probably get one before Christmas. I ordered mine back in March in Calgary and it was delivered 2 days ago
