| MINI2 Regular | Wash/Wax/Detail Day in Montreal I discussed this on the Italian Job thread. It was suggested I should start a new thread instead. Anyone in MTL up for a little group wash & wax day next weekend (June 28th-29th) or after (July 5th-6th)? I need to give mine a good rub down. I got my MINI wax kit from Zymol over Xmas but never got a chance to use it. It would be a good time. 3-5 cars should be fun. I went to a great BMWCCA detailing session last year so picked up a lot of tips and tricks to make a car really shine. I'm sure everyone has there on little tricks. The thing is we need a place to do it. I live downtown so all I have is a low light garage and the super steep hill of St-Dominque before the Plateau. If someone lives in a quieter neighborhood or has a good size driveway step up. Once they are all cleaned up we can roll downtown and either have a barbeque at my place or I can talk to some of the restaurants on St-Laurent and see if they can arrange a spot to park all our cars and then eat there. What do you all think? Saturday's or Sunday's are good for me. You can always drop me an email amit@btqfuzz.com or call me 514-808-5848. Amit |

Offline | Cool! I'll be in Montreal that weekend of June 28/29 (but sans Mini). I'd love to see all the Minis in one place though ![]() 2003 chili red/black roof/automatic/heated seats/personalized license plate |

| MINI2 Regular | I have a friend who is a VW driver but has been drooling over MINIs. I think I can convince him to let us use his driveway. Otherwise we can do the wash at my girlfriends parent's place in Westmount and then drive down to the park to do the wax/detailing in the shade. what do you think? Amit |

| MINI2 Regular | I'm going out of town tomorow and friday. So Sat or Sun is good for me. VeryMini seems to be in along with Silvercooper. I'll talk to eric this evening. That will give us 4 cars. I would prefer to do it on Sun as i usually work sat mornings. It is best to wash and wax in a shade so we need to find a good spot. Anyone have any ideas? i'm going to take a drive around this afternoon and scope it out. Amit |

Offline | Are 'mercins welcome? ![]() I might be interested, assuming my MINI is out of the body shop. I'm getting tired of hearing "tomorrow". I'm pretty clueless about Montreal, though (beyond the obvious tourist-y stuff). |

| MINI2 Regular | snid, of course. I'm an american myself, been in montreal since December. Drop me an email amit@btqfuzz.com. This is going to be fun . What happened to your car? This weekend and next are going to be crazy here in MTL since the Jazz-fest starts this weekend. If it's too tight to organize for this weekend we can push it to next weekend. What do everyone prefer? Amit Amit |

| MINI2 Regular | I have to go out of town on sudden business tommorow and probably will not be back till Sunday morning. Instead of rushing everything, I propose to plan for next weekend (July 5-6). This will give me more time to do some preparations and i'll plan a cookout at my place. I live on Sherbrooke & St Laurent so we can park our cars at my place, then either barbeque/or eat out and walk down to Jazz Fest a block away. Send me an email so we can coordinate. I'll have my laptop with me then next couple of days while i'm away so i can still communicate take care Amit |

Offline | That's fine Amit, we'll plan everything for next week-end. It would be great if Snid could still come. By the way Snid, how long is it for you to drive to Montreal? Are you near the border? You will be able to practice your french with me and Eric (Spadsept) when you come to visit us. Any of you guys going to Magog minimeet on July 1st? |

Offline | I live in Burlington VT, so I'm about 2 hours from Montreal. I hadn't decided on the Magog meet yet... I may also have some conflict with July 4th (Independence Day) down here in the USA - I'm not sure if the festivities I'm expected to be at are on the 4th, 5th, or 6th... I'll find out and let you guys know. My french? ummm... I vaguely remember something from high school. Of course, nothing useful. I'd try to type something, but I'd get it so wrong I'd probably be asked to stay here in Vermont. ![]() |
