Offline | Hi Everyone, I am new here and I did a search but couldn't find anything that is related that could help answer my question. What are the main features or options that Canadian get or doesn't get but US offers? Thanks BBMini |

Offline | I think it is mostly how the options are packaged together. HID and DRL are standard in canada. in US they package something called cold weather package. there might be more... besides the more than obvious metric/imperial markings... CVT was only $1200 CDN for 2003.. vs $1300USD for 2004 in the US price list. |

Offline | Based on the 2 websites (you may have to ask ur dealer to make sure), here are a few: 1) Rear Fog Lights. US already has them available. We don't. 2) Chrome Bumper. You couldn't get it unless you have Premium package 3) The US Cooper has sports suspension plus available. We don't. Emm.. that's all I got. ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | More things: Canada has parts of the cold weather package standard, the heated mirrors and washer nozzles, etc. Heated seats are separate or part of the premium packages. All our cars get ASC+T too, with DSC optional. I assume the heated bits and ASC+T standard are due to snow here in Canada (not like northern states don't get it too). Cars in Canada with runflats do NOT get the spare. You can't order it that way and there are conflicting reports as to whether you can retrofit a proper spare later. In Canada you can't get the sport and premium packages on the Cooper, though you can on the S. With one package installed you must get other bits a la carte if you want them. | Smiley Club Member :) | Smileee has drawn a lot attention from out fellow SOMC members in that area. One of the biggest things is the interior. From what I have heard the anthracite interior is not available in Canada. Pictures of the interior can be seen on our website. Just click on the sig banner below. The speedo is in miles and kilometers. If you are in the southern Ontario area come on out to one of our meets. The SOMC website is http://www.somc.on.ca/ |
