Was hoping I could get some help from my friends in the North. I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks and was contemplating heading to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Anyone have any good advice on where to go, what to see and where to stay? I know it seems a little short on notice but I live by spontaneity...hehe. I'm most interested in cool places to drive (for obvious reasons), whale-watching, B&Bs or Inns, and beaches.
I don't know where you are coming from but definately make your way to Cape Breton. There is a road on the W side which will blow your mind in the MINI - very twisty and hilly - awesome drive and might not be too busy due to SARs scares etc.
The nice thing is that there is whale watching up at the N tip and a neat Alexander Graham Bell museum in Badeck - which is on some sea lochs (I'm Scottish) in the centre of the island.
