Anyone in Vancouver installed after market alarm system to their Mini?
If so, what's good? and where to install?

Thanks

hey Snowman, ive been reading around, and it may be a stupid question, but is there a factory alarm fitted at all? or is it an option that isn't standard...others on this forum were talking of factory alarms, but i couldnt find whether they were standard with the MINI or not...

LiddleD, you could add the MINI factory alarm to your car, but I forgot how much is it already: you are looking at at least $600-700 with installation cost. My salesperson, however, didn't pursuade me to get it because he said it's only good for protecting the goods inside the car as the immobilizer will not let the thiefs get the car anyway. So I am just thinking maybe a small flashing light is good enough...

thanks Mikkol, that makes sense, the immobilizer will probably be good enough for me too.
