MINI Yaletown showcases Kobus Möller art exhibit. 09/06/2003 Vancouver, British Columbia... A public exhibition of world-renowned artist Kobus Möller's paintings will be on display at MINI Yaletown from September 9 - 14th. The collection of paintings will enable art lovers and MINI enthusiasts alike to see Africa, MINI style, in the heart of Vancouver's urban jungle. Möller, born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in 1949, was raised in a very artistic family and his talents were recognized at an early age. After beginning his professional career as a painter in 1990, he experienced his first major success in Johannesburg at the Pretoria International Show. To this day, Möller regularly goes on safari into the African bush gathering material in a way that only a true artist can with attention to lighting, detail and the true nature of the animal.

At an auction held at MINI Yaletown on September 11th, three paintings donated by Möller will raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Education without Borders, Bushmen Conservation Education and SAS Surrey. Auctioning off these works of art will be renowned auctioneer Rob Heffel.

The exhibition's visitors will also have the opportunity to witness the MINI in its natural surroundings, prowling MINI Yaletown like many of the majestic jungle cats in Möller's works of art. MINI Yaletown is located at 1128 Hamilton Street in Vancouver. Following the grand opening on Tuesday evening, the exhibit is open Wednesday - Thursday between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday - Sunday between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
