Offline | Hey welcome! Your options seem to be very much the same as the ones I have..except the auto-transmission/spare tires.. did you put in the frieght charge which is another 1200 (i think)? ![]() Haven't heard much about people buying minis (tho i saw tons more compared to a year ago) but my guess is that u won't get much discount from it. The best you could do is to get some of the dealer options free (e.g. bonnet stripes, spare tires).. LiddleD just posted smth similar in earlier posts re. the costs which u could check it out. Maybe try to talk to both dealerships and LET THEM KNOW that you've been to the other one already, so that they might be more competitive in terms of pricing. Some say more conversations w/ the salesperson do help too. When is the cabrio coming to canada anyway.. do you know? |

Offline | im praying it'd be the same as the rest of the world.. 2005 is when the cabrio is coming those look like the options i would've had if i ordered the cooper... i got bout the freight waved by mini markham... after setting down all the numbers... try and get like a high number, without being ridiculous.. and see if they accept it.. i originally wanted 2000 of mine... but wound up only 1000 off... still good i think 03 Dark Silver MCS w/ White roof |

Offline | Hey Mikkol....... where did you purchase your mini? Richmond or Yaletown? I'm debating whether or not to get the Cooper Classic in Pepper White w/ the ragtop or Indi Blue Mini Cooper with all the pkgs I listed before......... |

Offline | I actually bought mine @ MINI Victoria coz they got a stock car w/ the options I wanted that time... plus they would ship the car to Vancouver free of charge while offering a competitive quote. I still had to pay a visit to Victoria to pay them tho Cooper Classic is really a good deal. If I were to have that option when I bought mine I would've chosen one.. and then used the extra cash I saved on aftermarket stuff like wheels stereo etc.. but then the sunroof to me is hard to resist 2.. ![]() |

Offline | I got my MCS from MINI Richmond mini_diesel, I got my MCS from MINI Richmond. It was a very good buying experience, I got a decent discount plus some freebies thrown in (rubber car mats, the standard free MINI keychain, even the first oil service), and the sales people were great! Very good service too from their service department. Arthur Chung is the service manager there, he's taken good care of my MCS and gone the extra mile too. I highly recommend the sales advisor who sold me my MCS. His name is Jarrod Stark and his email is jstark@minirichmond.ca . Drop him an email and see what he can do for you!!! ![]() |

Offline | hey mini_diesel, in response to mikkol's reference, i definitely think there are deals to be had out there. I suggest going to Mini Yaletown over Richmond, but you should go check out both for sure just to see which you prefer. For me, I was lucky to get the deal I did, I had one of the first 2004's rolling around here I think coz I got mine in late October. My salesperson said I was #2 on his list for ordering. Definitely shop around, build up a good relationship with someone and sometimes don't be afraid to throw in the hint of a discount. Know when to back off tho. Like I mentioned somewhere else, my parents are asian, I think we're born with a bargaining gene built right into us. haha Good luck with everything!~ Darren |
