DIY Best detailing shop in Montreal ?

Do you guys know of any detailing shops in Montreal ?
I'd like to have a quote on scratches that were made by my dealer while my MINI was in service.

I called RMR Autosports, which referred me to a bodyshop called Automotion, which then referred me to a private detailer. I will be going tomorrow for a quote.

Here is the original thread:

Unhappy Hum,

I'm suppose to get my car in to Laval for a second time for a defective airbag... I'll be cautious with the washing! Last time i went there, only 2 of 4 problems were fix... My front light aren't align, they say they are! Yeah right, I'm only an Artistic Director that don't know about aligment... I guess i'll have to show them myself ! I had a rear wiper problem... no rubbing on half the window, it's the famous rear arm problem, but they manage only to charge me a new blade on a 2000 km car... And of course, after this big ''fix'' , i had some problems this winter because they did'nt change my wiper arm for a 2003!

Yep, last try... I'm starting to feel sorry about sending them buyers. A new dealer is in town, i hope they'll be more caustious about their clients. Mini is a small world!

Eric,

Where you been, drop me an email. You need to try out my car with the Pulley upgrade, it's ridiculous. I think the MINI dealerships in MTL don't give us the proper service. I had my car in last week for the airbag light and a couple of other things. Only thing that was fixed was the airbag. The car was filthy when I gave it to them and i said to make sure and give a good wash. When it came out they had just run it through the car wash and there was still mud all over it. I think the dealerships seem biased towards BMWs, whenever a MINI shows up it looks like a nusance to them

I could be a customer for them but they way things are going i'd rather by my BMW elsewhere in the future.

Amit

p.s. I also have new goodies arriving next week...

Well well, here's a follow-up ...

The MINI went in again (I am SO tired of this!) for the same two original bugs (handbrake light coming up for nothing, and rattles from the seatbelt posts).
Last time they managed to scratch my paint (and they are offering to wax the car in order to correct the problem... no thank you!).

This time, they fixed the seatbelt posts rattles, but managed to generate a new one from the handbrake!! They also played with the electricity since the handbrake problem was caused by some corrosion on a wire, but now my clock loses it's time!!

I really feel like I'm a beta tester with this car. And with crappy service like that, I'll think twice before buying another MINI again. It's a shame having such unacceptable service for such a lovely car

spadspet: New MINI dealer in town ? WHERE ?

Did anyone ever deal with BMW Canbec/MINI Mont-Royal ? Should I bring the car to them instead ? I heard they had bad service, that's why I chose to go with MINI Laval. But so far, I am NOT impressed with them too.

Cheers,

Mini Service in Montreal area

I certainly do not give high marks to the service people at Canbec. I hav one of the first Mini in Montreal and their service is very bad. You do not have a high price BMW and you disturb them. The former manager is now gone and they tried harder the last time, but it still does not make it for me.

A fiiend was at Mini Laval and she went to Canbec for better service. I was laughing !!!

As for the new Mini Brossard, I have not yet tried them but my friend has a BMW series 3 from them and he rates the service as very poor. Again, he does not have a 7 series.

In the last poll from Mini, they asked what I would buy after my Mini. Altough I love the car, my next car will be anything but BMW, just because of their service and their way of treating Mini customers.

Nostalgia is not what it used to be!
