Blue Cooper Will the BMW/iPod thing be released in canada?

I had ordered an ice link, but as soon as I heard about the BMW/iPod thing, I cancelled my order. Does anyone know if this is going to be available at canadian dealerships?

Thanks!
-Steve

FYI I emailed Nick of MINI Richmond about this. He got back to me and told me that it's currently only for the BMW models specified on Apple's website, but that he had heard that a kit for the MINI would become available in Sept-Oct '04. Bear in mind that this kit will work only on MINIs that have the AUX-in input on the head unit; what this means is that you are out of luck if you have an '02/early '03 MINI (they didn't have the AUX-in).

So where's the aux-in on the '04 models? Haven't seen mine... then again I've only had it since Thursday...

Auxiliary input for 04 cooper

Hi, the auxiliary input cable/plug in the 04 cooper is an add-on. Ask your dealer to install this or better still follow some of the other threads in mini2 to see about installing this yourself. The costs vary - seems a lot cheaper in the US: my Mini dealer wants cdn $ 79 + taxes + install costs. I'm thinking of waiting on the IPOD your MINI/BMW thing, although when I asked the dealer and gave them the part number they couldn't find it and had not heard aboutr....It could be months before this heads north to Canada/Regina!

IPod connecting to radio....

Actually I think the iPod mount will connect into the CD changer plug in the back of the radio much like the Ice-Link. I was wondering if the BMW model for the 3-series would work in the MINI since it is the same radio....May have to try to "borrow" a kit from the dealer to see if it might work so I won't have to wait until October or so.....
