Black Cooper Upgrades

Hey all,

Just got my 04 Cooper a little while back and I'm looking to do some upgrades... here's the full list that I'm thinking of and I want to go through the dealer for all of them.

- Bonnet stripes (silver) (+ hood repainted - bought the car w/ 15k on the odo and there's a few chips in the hood)
- Alarm system
- 17" Cooper S wheels and rims
- JCW Rally Lights
- Handsfree cell kit

Anyone have any idea what these would cost as a dealer installed option, or if they're even possible? Here's a pic of my car, btw:

Thanks,

Adam.

Hi Adam...nice looking motor!
re the upgrades...when I got my mini in Dec the dealer quoted me $675.50 for the alarm + 300 installation (+ taxes). They also quoted $780 (+ 225 install) + taxes for the factory spots (not sure these are what you mean). Hope this info. helps.
Ian

Order the alarm kit from Classic MINI for $300 and install it yourself. It's plug and play. Once it's installed, you will have to have it activated at the dealer though.

Thanks for the info, guys.

I did something incredibly stupid today and mucked up with the touch-up paint on the hood for the chips I mentioned. Have some nasty scratches now where I tried to fix it up so I'm having the entire hood and possibly all the front end repainted. I'll be extremely happy when it looks like new.

The bonnet stripes are sounding like a good thing to get. jmoffat, what color did you get the stripes, silver or white?

And scooterboy, the system is available to order from any dealer for $300?

Classic MINI in Ohio has the best parts prices. Don't know how it would work since you're from Canada.

Question JMOFFAT - followup question

Where did you get the armrest? I've just ordered a new MC and would love to get the armrest.

Also, can you briefly describe how you attached the armrest to the car?

Thanks,
MediocreFred.
