I thought we might create a new thread here with the prices that dealers are charging for the 1st and 2nd standard servicings (CANADA). I am wondering how much prices have gone up in the past couple of years. It could also be of use to those who are considering purchasing a MINI to know service costs..

Please separate any additional costs required beyond the items required in the service manual.

i thought the 10,000 (first service) service was free????

Is the first service not due at 16 000k? It was on my car. Just curious/confused. Later.

No free service for us Canucks.
First oil service at approx. 16,000 km. - after that, inspections I & II are determined by the service indicator.
The oil service is also calculated by the service indicator, so there are no fixed intervals, other than a maximum 2 years between engine oil and brake fluid changes, and max. 4 years for coolant changes.

So how much were these visits? and which dealers did you go to?

MINI Victoria...first service at 22,000kms..had tyres rotated also at the same time. Cost with all taxes and labour around $200. Shop labour rate works out to about $100 an hour with tax. Great folks to deal with.
