Exclamation MTH remap on a CVT...safe?

ey guys

i've been contemplating on a MTH remap for sometime since i got my SuperSprint exhaust fitted almost a month ago. would the MTH remap for a CVT & a regular M/T Cooper be different? would there be, if any, side effects to the CVT if i have the remap done?

reading CVT failure stories keep me up at night and so is this issue

Hey Mini Macky

IMHO i think cvt does not need modification. It much more worthwhile if u have an MCS.
The amount of money u spend on modifying MC CVT could almost get u an MCS.

I had bad experience with the cvt thats why i am against modifying the MC CVT.

almost get me an MCS? how i wish i can get an MCS instead with the cash spent on a SuperSprint Exhaust, intake & MTH remap

getting an MCS is out of the question for now. here in my country (Philippines), MCs & MCSs have a price difference of about US$7,000-8,000

Hi,

I did MTH upgrade with the tuned file.
It is very good and my CVT seems to work as good as before. I also go on the track with my cvt Cooper and I can follow MCS easily (I also have JCW suspensions, good tires, ferodo DS2500 brake pads, better brake fluid, etc...) with MTH reprog 135hp it is very good.
