Hi
I am pretty new here so be gentle with me!! I have been driving "normal" auto's for ages and just wanted to know how the cvt in the cooper and the one differs in terms of driving. Whats the gear selection like or does it just rev more and you go faster?Does the "S" setting work like an overdrive or does it just hold the revs longer?

Obviously a good test drive is in order but owners opinions are very important so any information greatfully recieved.

The last cvt i had was about 15 years ago on a old volvo 340 and that was driven by elastic bands i really hope things have moved on since then!
