| MINI2 Newbie | I've had my '05 S conv for a year now and happily put some 28,000 miles on it. About the only thing I don't like it when the kick down function decides to downshift the ransmission when i don't want it too. That got me to thinking, has anyone disabled the kick down switch? Then the trans would do only what the paddles (me) tell it to do. Seems like a simple enough thing to do. has anyone done it? Thanks, Ron B. |

Offline | Disable kickdown I don't know how to permanently disable the kickdown, but do know how to temporarily disable it. If you switch off the DSC it disables the kickdown. Obviously you have no DSC while doing this. |
