Offline | Replacement Pedals Hi all Does anyone know if those lovely stainless steel pedals which come as standard on many minis are available for the cvt? I would love to replace the standard rubber ones in my car but so far my searches online have only brought up third party pedals and none have taken my fancy. Thanks Drew ![]() |

Offline | my auto Cooper S has chrome pedals but I'm afraid I don't know what the CVT pedals look like to compare them. I'll see if the big brake pedal is a cover or the actual pedal. I'm pretty sure it will be a cover though. And the accellerator pedal and footrest are the same as in the normal MINI which I bought a chrome replacements for my old MINI One from BMW parts. |

Offline | Really? I've still got to check for you what my pedal is then. You can have the accellorator pedal no problem as this is a swap over housing but I will check my brake pedal this lunch time and see what it is, welded pedal or cover. |

Offline | Right for your information: This is what my auto pedals look like and my chrome brake pedal cover is removable see the second photo. The brake pedal cover has rubber flaps on the reverse that flap around the pedal gripping it. The accellerator is a replacement housing just the same as what I did to my previous MINI One. The chrome footrest just clips in after removing the black version. Hope this is helpful! Can try and find you the part number to stick in their faces. Is my brake pedal the same size as yours? |

Offline | Laura your a star ![]() ![]() ![]() Many thanks for going to the trouble of taking pics. I shall pop down to the dealers on my next day off and show them a pic to prove there is a pedal available. Seeing as the accelerator and foot rest are the same for all models Im hoping there is no difference in the brake pedals for your S and my Cooper auto (would be a little daft if they are). I appreciate your help (((big hug))) Drew ps brake pedal looks the same size as mine |

Offline | If you want the part number to go armed with I can get it off the pedal for you.... Hmmmm the plot thickens... I looked on RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog and could only find the part codes for the manual pedals like your parts department said. RealOEM.COM * BMW R53 Cooper S SET OF HIGH-GRADE STEEL PEDAL COVERS This shows that the chrome pedals come in a manual set. I know I bought my old MINI One's separately, and I bought a chrome foot rest only for a friend as a present so know they do them. I'll get the part code off the actual pedal cover and that should help them order one for you. I want to know too because if my plastic bits on my pedal wear down I will want a new one! |

Offline | No trouble! Problem solving! Will see if my partner has run off with the MINI at lunchtime. Knowing him he has though. Will try and get you that part code tonight. Should have written it down when I took the photos and had the cover off! |

Offline | How did you find that Jon? I looked on Real Oem but couldn't find the part code for the brake cover. At least that number matches what was on the back of my pedal! Good work! ![]() |

Offline | No luck so far - have spoken to one dealer who after checking my chassis number says the set available might not fit my car (something to do with the accelerator pedal) and so wouldnt order for me. However im not put off and will visit another dealer next week and see if they can be a little more helpful or at the least give me a definitive answer. ![]() |

Offline | Oh dear! I had a similar run in with the parts department last week as well Drew, I wanted to order an aux lead to connect my MP3 player to the radio, I had done my research and know I can have it fitted. He told me because I didn't have the CD changer I couldn't have it, I know that the aux lead plugs into where the CD changer would go in the back of the head unit so know thats false. I basically ended up telling him what his screen info meant and I know what I'm doing even if he doesn't! Give it another go and see what you can do! As far as I know the accelerator assembly is the same part in all MINIs auto and manual. ? ![]() |

| aka Mishka | This thread was helpful to me. I have an 05 Cabrio and have wanted the replacement pedals. The catalog I got from the dealer shows the replacement pedals for the 07 with the same part number shown above. No one could tell me if it would work on an 05. Off to the dealer! BTW, the catalog I have shows different part numbers for the accelerator module for manual and automatic transmission cars. For the R52 auto transmission it shows part number 35426772707, and for manual it is either 35426772708 (after 09/2005) or part number 35406762484 (to 09/2005). (For the R56, the manual transmission accelerator module is 35 42 6 770 152 and the one for the automatic is 35 42 6 770 153.) Improvise, adapt, and overcome.
