| DRIVER | CVT or not? Just wondering how many people out there have a CVT... Why so many views and so few votes? If you want to see what the proportion is, go ahead and vote!!! Last edited by Electrc109 : Nov 3rd, 2002 at 04:58 PM. |

Offline | LOL. In fairness to Florida I've been locked out of all MINI2 polls for a few weeks now for unknown technical reasons. I think when I vote the virtual chad doesn't get punched through all the way. ![]() |

Offline | And dimpled/pregant chads are a FL HALLMARK! Put me down for the CVT as well, the best Transmission choice for those of us who are well past over the days of wrestling clutch pedals in bumper to bumper traffic. LONG LIVE THE CVT!!! ![]() '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | I have a CVT but only because we wanted my wife to be able to drive Max too. I would've preferred the 5 speed. The Steptronic pseudo-manual thingie is very clever but I just can't get excited about it. It has a delay before changing. Offline | The CVT may not be up to manual speed, but for me its the convenience of an automatic combined with at least some of the fun and responsiveness of a manual that makes it so cool. |

Offline | CVT = Thumbs up. CVT has exceeded my expectations. My wife factored into my decision, although I had a deposit on an S to hedge my bets. The CVT still delivers a large amount of driving pleasure...I'll keep it! |

| MINI2 Master | If you ran this poll for US and Non-US you'd get a decidedly different result... it is reflecting, I think, the fact that a much higher proportion of American MINI owners are on MINI2 than European owners, who perhaps don't get quite so excited about the car... |

Offline | Shep, Sejanus, damini: I second each of your opinions! 1. The wife was a huge factor. I would probably have gone with the 5-speed if not for her. 2. "...CVT may not be up to manual speed, but....The convenience of an automatic combined with at least some of the fun and responsiveness of a manual that makes it so cool." 100% agreed! 3. "CVT has exceeded my expectations." I never thought an automatic could be so fun! |
