How much HP can you get out of a CVT Cooper?

Im curious how much HP can you get out of a cooper CVT with a new intake, exhaust, and etc?

What would guess the 0-60 times would be?

Check out the performance forum, though it does tend to be a bit skewed to the S. MiniMania was showing a turbo kit at SEMA that they expect to be available soon, it'd horribly void your warranty and is expensive, and probably would eat a CVT (or the 5sp for that matter) in not too long time, but it was getting 200hp. I'd guess that'd make 0-60 somewhere around 6 seconds.

More realistic numbers are in the spreadsheet referenced in this thread http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=18223 which are only giving you ~10hp for an intake, ~10 for an exhaust, ECU reprogramming could get you 20-30 I think, but that's a stretch. There's so many options and so little stuff available at the moment, its hard to say. With those "minor" upgrades, you might be in the 7's, but that's a wild guess for ~45hp, since it'd make you have about the same as an S (6.9 if I recall), but with the slightly slower transmission. Changing wheels to something lighter, which there's a spreadsheet hanging around somewhere that gives info on, could also effectively gain you hp.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.
