Canada CVT fluid

I was wondering if you can use the 75W90 full synthetic oil for the CTV transmission/Differential? I see it works fine with the manual transmission, but was wondering if the same oil is ok for the CVT?

CVT uses a special oil probably along the lines of an automatic transmission fluid. Best thing would be to go to a mini dealer and buy a quart. I know the mini motor oil is Castrol Syntec but I'm not sure what the CVT oil is.

Does anyone know how to check/add fluid to the CVT? I have some very small leaks from the bottom fitting (probably the drain plug). It loosens over time and starts to drip, I've had to tighten this fitting twice over one year. (Definitely not an oil drip, reddish ATF.)

Their should be another bolt above the one you have been tightening much like on a manual transmission. The transmission should have oil to that bolt hole. Make sure you get the right stuff from the Mini dealer

Here is a link to a picture I took of what I think are the dreain and filler plugs for the CVT. I sent the picture to my dealer and asked them if I took the picture of the right thing. Hope to hear back from them in a couple days.
