Velvet Cooper Few questions!

Hey,

I have few questions, so whoever can answer it, I would appreaciate it.

1.) At what RPM does mini cooper CVT reach highways crusing speeds? Like 70 or 80 mph?

2.) Has anyone been driving 100 Mph in CVT mini? If so, how does it handle at those speeds? Is the car too shaky?

3.) I've read many complaints here about CVT mini having hard times with 4 passangers with A/C on? Is this true? Would it have problems going up the hill with that too?

Thanks alot!

I like Electrc109's answers!

The MINI is an aerodynamic "brick" so it will run out of power at high speeds, BUT the car is stable, predicable, and quick. The CVT efficiently gets you to 100mph+ -- no drama. Handling (turns, braking, transitions, ...) is precise, clean reactions.

2000-3000rpm, depending on exact speed. It's refined cruises beautifully.

I've had 115mph and it's composed and stable.

I've not had problems, my MC/CVT just goes. Besides, if you are carrying any passengers, you're not really *driving* your MINI...

I had the CVT/MC for more than a year now and here is my experience on your questions.
1. It should be around 2500-3000rpm
2. 100mph? Did that many times. Very stable. No problem.
3. I almost had the whole month wiht 4 adults with A/C on and had to climb up a long steep road when going out from my home. No problem with that at all.
