I hear a lot of the forums about software updates for their MINIs...how would I go about getting this? I have a 2003 MC CVT IB/W...

- How much does it cost?
- Do I simply get it from the dealer? (Mine's Bill Jacobs MINI in case anyone else goes there)

I haven't yet taken mine in for even an oil change...sorry about the questions, I suppose I'm something of a newbie yet.

You probably should call the dealer to ask them what version is loaded to your car, so that you know that. Have you experienced ANY difficulties with the car? If yes, ask them if you should/can bring it in to have the software updated (it is a no cost process).

When is your next service due? Lots of things can be worked on then (wiper blades, brake pads/rotors, software, oil change, ...).
