CVT Shift Boot

The boot to the shift lever in my CVT isn't completely attached to its plastic housing. Its been like this almost immediately after I got my MINI. Anyone else have this on their CVT shifter?

I haven't had a problem with mine, though I do need to ArmorAll it.

I think I remember some people having this problem way back. I don't know the build date of your car, if it is newer, it's probably just a one-off mistake. Either way, just take it back to your dealer, should be a simple warranty fix.

My boot has pulled away from the straight side (next to numbers). Mentioned it to my dealer on my first service and they ordered a new one and will be fitting it as soon as I book it in. I didn't actually notice it until I was cleaning all the crud that gear shift boots just seem to attract

Cheers

Same exact spot for me, Griffy.

I was JUST at the dealership. Fortunately, I will be getting a phone call from my dealership when the software v.36 comes out. I guess I'll handle the boot at the same time.
