Why not?
and why not those other nice items I would love to have like the heated windshield and the half leather seats?

if it is only another £50 in the uk we here should not have to spend $1000+ with
http://www.bmw-paddleshift-retro.com/
to get something that seems to offer so much to the CVT MINI

Has anyone managed to get a reason why we can not have them out of MINI USA when MINI Canada has them?

Safety issue maybe? You can have a gun, but no paddle shifters

Black / Whte Cooper pepper pack; cvt w/paddles; asc+t; white mirrors

Nope lots of cars have them in the U.S.A.

if they charge £50 for them at home they can not add more than £20 to the build cost so why not offer them and charge $100 I bet most would opt for it that want the CVT and it might push some to take the option to start with... easy money... it makes no sense to withhold them that i can see esp. as they have been sold everywhere else fo a year now...

the question remains WHY?

Has anyone checked with MINI USA ? It seems really odd that such a large market is missing out on the best parts of the CVT. I love my paddles

If we can get them in Australia where we only sell around 1600 MINI's a year (don't know how many of them are CVT, not many I'd say!) why can't the US have them??

cjay.

Maybe they could be sold as a steering wheel mounted gun rack

SNIP

I just got off the phone with My MA at MINI of Peabody and he did not even know the paddles existed! It is holding up my decision on to get the Cooper CVT or a COOPER S... If I can get the Paddles or be able to retrofit thim for less than say $300 or $400 I will go with the CVT... otherwise the MCS... either way it prices out to around $25,000
