[Red Cooper]

I had my car in for some warranty work and got a MINI ONE CVT as a courtesy car. I was a bit wary at first, but after getting used to driving a CVT again (my ex had a CVT Micra some years ago), I find the MINI CVT extremly satisfying. It certainly doesn't feel that I am driving a ONE - the car is very fast from the start and the brakes are maybe a bit too sharp (over 7k on the clock). The car has some paddle shifters on the steering - I haven't figured out how to use them... They do look a bit cheap and plasticky though... a bit like an afterthought. I drove on the motorway for quite a bit and if you want a CVT I would recommend the cruise control too as, without noticing, you can get at about 90 mph in no time. I never would have considered any kind of automatic before, but the MINI CVT is certainly one of the most fun cars I have ever driven... except my Cooper of course
