Hi all Mini ppl

i've heard from Motoring File that:
"An automatic Cooper S is coming. Knowing that the current CVT is barely capable of handling the torque in the 115hp Cooper we can guess it probably will be a more typical auto found in current BMWs. This will happen - the only question is when."

this is good news for Dooks and Myself as we can't Drive Manual but still want the CooperS Power

just wondering if the Auto MCS also have the JCW Kit Available

Mate, it will be a hydraulic 5 speed automatic, and will be arriving in the next two years. There will be plenty of people on the waiting list for it too

I might shuffle this to future variants, because I know it is coming here, and the product won't be different to anywhere else in the world

Sounds like there will be an Auto S someone high up in MINI OZ as said it's going to happen as well as the quote you posted. Shame it's not going to be a CVT, a CVT JCW S would be a blast!!

When it's officially announced I'll be ordering one, I'm already trying to decide what color

I hate to sound like Spy car but you should learn to drive a manual first, you will probably enjoy it more than the auto.

i'll Need to learn how to drive Manual for sure coz i was reading another post from motoringfile that theres going to be a turbo MCS coming at about 2007 if all goes well

man i'll be putting my money for that MCS turbo R56 with new engine block might even be a 1.8L from the 1.6L with 180HP un-tuned... should be interesting when JCW finish working on it.

Color isnt too much of a worry coz theres going to be new colors coming out all the time at the moment i am looking at PW/PW with Black bonnet Stripes.

Hopefully the 5 speed auto will be better than the steptronic in the 3 series

I was thinking about PW/PW as well, it looks great! If I get one i think I'll go for checks on the roof this time

Jerry just picked up his all PW S and is thinking of black bonnet stripes, you may want to keep an eye on his gallery

i was thinking sunroof tho ... i am in love with the sunroof as well

but my MCS wont be coming til like 2007 so still have a few yrs to go ... coz i'm still 22 and insurance is heaps expensive until i'm 25 so that kinda works out by then hopefully the Turbo MCS will be out... hehehe

at the moment i've been looking at the design from CooperFlags and those stripes there are So hot

but i think i am going to give my dad the Cooper CVT when i get the MCS

i reckon the PW with these stripes will rock

went to local dealership last saturday and the salesmas had just came back from a Mini Aus. meeting down in Melbourne and he says that the possibility of an Auto S coming to Aus. is very slim....

Believe me, I have it from high up sources, we will be getting a Auto S real soon now....

We'll have to wait for it to come to AUS then

When its out i think i'm going to do some speccing myself at the locate dealer. and Might even get a test drive in one of them to see how it feel and decide if i wanna get the AUTO S
