Hi.

I'm posing this thresd for my friend, he is driving a CVT cooper. There seem to be a mulfunction on his CVT. The symptom is gear stuck and ET sign shown on the dash. This symptom occures almost daily. After stopping for 3-5 min the gear would engage as normal. What should he do, is it a serious problem?

Whether it's a serious problem or just a sensor or computer glitch they're going to have to take it in to the dealer.
