Scotland Picked up our new baby!

We took delivery of our new baby this morning - 8.30AM!!

Fantastic drive. Fantastic colour. Fantastic car. What a difference to the Cooper CVT. Those extra 55 horses sure make a huge difference.

Despite the uncertainty of certain people on MINI2.com, we love the Auto Box. Just keeping it in normal "Auto Drive" mode is blisteringly fast. No doubt after a week or so we'll be bored with that and start to venture into the "Sports Drive" mode a little more.

All the best,

AndyP and Lenore

Very Nice! I'm thinking about getting the aero side skirts more and more.

May I suggest a first very cheap and easy mod? Change the front indicator bulbs for silver ones from Philips so they don't look so orange (see my gallery)

Congrats !! Looks the Bizz!

Did you get the White indicator option (in the rear light cluster) or is it just the angle of the rear photo that makes it seem that way?

Enjoy!!

Thanks for the part numbers. Man, those are nice wheels. Enjoy your mini dude, it looks great! I should be in the drivers seat of mine with 2 weeks. Mine is a 6 speed though - I can see why people like those tiptronic transmissions but I just loved the 6 speed.

Cheers.... Tinkerbell.

Thanks!... Hyperconvert... It is the White indicator option. It looks cool, but I'm not sure it was worth £35! It's just a little bit of lenz that's clear instead of amber. They have to stick a lenz in there, what difference does it make if it's clear or amber? What I'm getting at is, why isn't it a no-cost option?

Strange, but that's BMW for you.

Miniminor.... Not sure which buttons you're talking of. I've never had a MFSW so all the buttons are new to me If it's the two buttons to the right of the Radio control, I think the top one is supposed to switch between radio and cd (but I need to check that with the user manual). And the bottom one is to use the Bluetooth attached telephone. That's IF you've put the Bluetooth option in. Which we didn't.

Thanks to everyone for your very nice comments. We love the wheels tooo!!!!!

Hi AndyP,

Do you have any idea about the part no. for white indicator light because I want to order the lights. By the way, I also ordered a Hyper Blue MCSA in Hong Kong and the target delivery date is early July since Hong Kong also has a long quene for the auto MCS as well.

Hi Andrew,

Which "white indicaor lights" are you talking of? Is it the wing side repeaters? Or the indicators within the rear light cluster?

Let me know which it is and I'll have look through our spec sheet to see if a part number is listed.

July is a looooooong wait. We waited 4 months for ours, but they didn't start puting the Auto box into the S until January. So I suppose it's only 2 months really. However, the wait will be worth it. The Auto Box is fantastic. The more I drive it, the more I like it!!

All the best,

Andrew

Hi Angus,

Although I'm by no means a regular at NMS, I am a "member" and have posted a topic about the new car there too.

Are you going on Callums run on Sunday? Scrub that question.... just checked the list and I see you're coming. See you there!

Hi Andy,

I mean the rear light cluster and this is the first time I saw this option as it was not stated in the accessories catalogue. By the way, do you know MCSa has the option for anthracite headliner since the salesman told me this option is not available but I could find it in another countries such as US. Thank you so much.

Regards,

Andrew

R99 Alloys

Andy,

I wanted to get the R99 alloys, but was unable to negotiate a discount against the standard wheels. I don’t know if you keep both sets of wheels? If you did and are selling the standard alloys I would be interested in knowing how much you get for them as I may upgrade. If you did not get both sets then you should have a word with your dealer, as the R99’s are a dealer fit option. My dealer told me that they don’t usually pass the spare set onto the customer unless the customer specifically ask, even though they have paid for eight and tyres and wheels.

Piers
