Fuel Economy

Has Mini even announced yet what the fuel economy will be for the Cooper S Automatic? I have been looking into that car for myself for when I move to San Francisco as it is the perfect pocket rocket for San Francisco.

If anyone knows please follow up here. I might look for at the Cooper CVT if it is too steep as it seems like gas prices are skyrocketing everywhere.

Mike

23 City, 32 Hwy.

It's interesting to note that there are errors on this page -- the MINI Cooper is a 50-state car, not one that has various versions depending upon where it's sold. The S clearly does have a supercharger (the page says no).

Agreed,
According to the window sticker from my '05 MCSCa, build feb. '05 and collected March 21, the fuel consumption figures are given as 23 City and 32 Highway.
Since collection, and with some 500miles to go by, the readout is giving an average 26.9 mpg, and that is mainly on a 42 mile each way stop/go commuter trip during rush hours in west suburban Chicago (Plainfield to I90 and west to Elgin for those who know the area). Route 59 has lights on average at least every mile!!
