sweet shifting!

Wow!

I was able to pick up my Dark Silver Cooper S 6sp auto. earlier than expected.
My Mini arrived at the dealer yesterday (4/7), and I took her home tonight (4/8)!
She was built 3/17, and landed in the U.S. on 4/2.
Solid car!
I love the feeling of that steering wheel.
There is great joy to be had in coasting to stop lights....it is so nice to feel the transmission downshifting through the gears. Sorry to those behind me ...but it gives them a chance to look at the Union Jack plate holder that I installed.
I kept the revs low....so I can't say much about going fast up through the gears.
That will happen in plenty of time.
I haven't used "sport", or the paddles yet. Got to have something to look forward to during the next few days.
There is one advantage to a "mild" exhaust, and low revs; I get to hear that supercharger
emit some "whines" now and then....sweet!
Well I have some reading in the manual to do.
If you are a prospective buyer; I know you will be very happy.
Thanks to everyone in the Mini/BMW organization that had a part in building my new car.
Steve

Of course not ! they're on both Auto MCS and the CVT MC ... of course the gearbox is totally different .. ours are much cooler !

WELCOME TO the MCSA world ... you'll love it ... A tip for ya .. if you're driving in D mode and push the stick to SD for more rev .. for some reason it will shift down for you ( at least it does for me ) .. so don't shift down again because you'll REV the Hell out of the engine .... like what I did a couple of weeks ago ... I Was in 4th gear Dmode... shift over to SD .. I couldn't feel the engine shift down cause I wasn't giving to much Gas to notice .. I shifted down .. and the I hit 2nd while I was going 70KM/H My Rev FLied up to 5500 RPM !!!!

2005 HB/HB MCSA !! ALL the package... ALL the Fun .. ALL the time !!!

ok, not trying to be smart or anything.... but whats wrong with 2nd in 70km/h ??
if you are shifting down it obviously means that you are looking for more revs which is what the auto box is doing.. i wish my mum's auto transmission does this too ..

05 PW/B chilli. finally here.
