coming from a 05 G35

Hi! I am currently an owner of 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan with sport pack and premium! I am thinking to switch to a 05 or 06 MCSa.

I have done some searchings recently, and found out that dealers in LA are willing to sell them at MSRP, is that true? How long do I have to wait if I place an order?

I'm thinking to get some after market wheels, 18"X8 offset 38/20, will these wheels fit with the JCW suspension kit?

How much does an 5 lug adaptor costs?

Should i get the JCW filter kit? How mcuh differences does it make? is it worth?

The brake kit is kinda expensive... but I also want to get it... how is it compare to the stock brakes?

I have heard there will be some kind of JCW kit for the 06 model. How true is that?

Thanks!
(still torn between a GTi and mini S) (the DSG is just too cool !)

can't answer all your questions, but:

-the tuning kit for the MCSa is supposedly coming out in july according to JCW
-I've heard really good things about the brake kit, and particularly the suspension kit.
the suspension kit is supposedly especially good if you're planning on running larger rims.
-I personally love the JCW air filter, it gives a fantastic sound when it comes on line at 4500 rpm, but damn if it's not expensive!

I have to confess that the new GTi looks really sharp, especially with the DSG. If it was out over here, I would have been really tempted to test drive it. however, even though the 'box in the MCSa is only a lowly torque converter, it is a remarkably good one and very quick shifting, especially when driven hard.

good luck!

Thanks for your reply, beekman!

Do you have additional information about the JCW kit? I only want to keep the price under 30K!

Thus, I will either get all the gadgets or only the JCW kit.

Thanks!

utter-grain-of-salt rumour has it that the jcw MCSa has posted impressive track times during testing. power will alledgedly be similar to its manual counterpart, and I imagine price will be similar too. it was supposed to come out in febuary, but has been delayed a number of times, thus the slight skeptisism . . .

if and when it does come out, I'd be really curious to see if it includes transmission software upgrades - then it would make a very tempting package!

Pure Silver MCSa in LA

I ordered my MCSa from South Bay Mini in Torrance @ MSRP on April 20 with scheduled delivery in September. I can't wait.

Whoa. Nearly 5 months for a Mini? I ordered mine on May 10th with an ETA in early-mid July. I know it's gotta go slightly more distance, but still...

It'll be worth the wait though!
