Has anyone, anywhere had the JCW Sound Kit installed on a CVT Cooper? MINIUSA seems to be unsure about whether or not they will approve (i.e., provide warranty coverage for) its installation on a CVT, even though their part number descriptions and installation instructions clearly contemplate its installation on a CVT-equipped Cooper. Any issues encountered anywhere else in the MINI universe?

just make sure your dealer is ready to stand behind the warranty and you should be just fine. to my knowledge the kit will work fine with a cvt - minus the software update - so in essence you're just getting a new air box and exhaust.

very cool. very expensive! but very cool.

The JCW sound kit is still to be signed off by BMW for the midlands 5 speed manual and the CVT as far as i'm aware.

JCW told me BMW were scheduled to approve on 1st September

Your dealership should have a better idea after this date

the sound kit should be available for the CVT in the near future.

In Spain you can install it for 2 months ago... the firt one in Spain was a CVT and it "works" very very well...

What things did they change besides Air filter box and Exhaust?

hope he can give us some update about what the changes there is to the CVT?

coz with extra power on the CVT do they need to change the ECU? eg upgrade.?

is there much of a power increase from the sound kit? or is it what i tsays it is? just to make sound?

wouldn't it be cheaper then just to change the air filter and exhuast urself? if there's no ecu or anything else change...
