In the process of moving to Newcaslte, and Min needs its inspection 1 service. Would normally have gone to Bowkers, but just don;t have the time to get down to Preston when I have my precious days off and go back home (sorry bubblegoose ), so...has anyone got any experience of dealers in the Newcastle/Gateshead area? Where is best for service? Also, needs to be within reasonable distance of Newcastle city centre, as would have to taxi/walk/get lift in from dealer (that would be good service - like Bowkers) as can;t have a courtesy car as nowhere to park at work, due to having the builders in!
Fawdingtons are beside St James park and are the most central Mill are miles out and are rubbish.... Victoria is the other one, but about 3 or 4 miles out of the city centre
Is there much of a mini2 social circle going on then in the Toon, or roundabouts? Are there any threads (like Northern Pub meets and banter for the norf west?) Would be ace to get some pics around the place - there look to be some wicked loactions!
keep a look out in the northern exiles & misfits banter thread and Mini2 North Diary.... there's also a Mini2 North Xmas meal/drinks on the 19th Nov....
and there's plenty of great spots for pics too
just give us all a shout if you want any more info on the toon etc....
fawdingtons were absolutely brilliant for customer service when i was mini shopping - returned calls, treat u right, etc etc, evrything you'd want from a dealer. mine has 1st service comin up going to take it there, never heard anything bad about them.
Well ben_allen, Im sure me and villa (and maybes a few others) would be up for showing u a few photo sites and maybes a small run around toon for some pictures.
U know where to find us.
Oh, and victoria MINI are cool...ive had no problems ever with them.
Service done by Fawdingtons on Wednesday, all fine - washed n vac'd, except needed two new tyres - ouch!!!! And the service receptionist said someone would be able to give me a lift into work. I told her I would drop car off between half 7 and 8. She said fine. But, got there and drivers only start at half 8, so had to bus into town, and it was feckin freezin!!!
