Offline | To cut it short - just had JCW seats fitted, airbag light on as expected - Scothall Leeds want £120 to turn it off, dealt with a stupidly fat "computer says no" type "lady"... Prestons at Colne want NOTHING, they're doing it for free. Thanks to Dale once again. Moral of story - don't go anywhere near Scothall Leeds, they're not exactly helpful and friendly, especially considering I bought my car there and it's been back for a few problems. Instead, on ALL counts, Prestons appears to be great. This has annoyed me all day since I went in this morning to find out the price, needed to vent my anger ![]() ![]() |

| Remember | Dale told me today that he had got a call from you about this ![]() Real shame that Scothall couldn't help you out, its a simple job to do, fill out form, send to MINI, get the code (which is valid for a set time only) upload to MINI (about 10mins max), warning light off, apply stickers to indicate no seat air bags, check seats are securely fitted (10 mins max) customer leaves happy Maximum cost should be 30 mins labour, about £45The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | Always had nothing but praise for Scotthall for servicing and putting things right, however for one dealership to charge £0 and the other to charge £120 hmmm! this is taking the you know what. That will probably be £20 to turn the light off and £100 for 1 hours labour grrrr! I remember when I had a cracked sidelight I went in and asked how much it would cost...£115 sir needless to say I bought the new part for £15 and fitted it myself in around 30mins, brings a whole new meaning to the word dealer I mean stealer! Glad to hear you got it sorted though ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Well, Scothall have been ok before, a call or text day before car booked in etc. Seemed efficient. But, this has changed my view of them completely! This is problem number two anyway - the first problem was when I KNEW I spec'd CD Changer Prep on my initial order, then when I came to fit my CD Changer, discovered it wasn't there. Went back, and they said it'd be a full day's labour (£100's) to strip the car and route the cable. I insisted I did order it with the salesman, and he agreed I did, but said there was nothing he could do. One stern letter later to the CRM, and they were stripping my car for free to fit a £5 cable ![]() I find this offensive - £120, especially when the total work should only be £45 maximum (even this is bad enough though). Time for me to find a new garage methinks ![]() ![]() |

Offline | It looks like it Not so handy for servicing though as they're over an hour away unfortunately ![]() Hat: They've recently cut down the chauffeur service though so instead of doing the whole of Leeds like they used to, they now just go round the Loop road in Leeds and cut out most of it, pretty useless for a lot of people unless they're right in the very centre! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Almondbury were rated by a colleague and they do the servicing on mine even though I drive past ScottHall everyday on my way to work. Both Lister Park and ScottHall seemed ok when they were trying to sell me something. Very helpful. |
