Has anyone bought/ordered a car from Mini of Scottsdale? I stopped in on a Saturday, only to have salespeople walk by me without even a hello, as they all rushed to talk to other customers. After a half-hour wait, I was passed from one sales person to another, told there were no cars for test drives, then told that the color I want is not available yet, and I can't order it either(?). They were rather eager to get my deposit (I'm not putting a deposit on a car I can't order), to be on a list over 1,000 people strong.

Am I alone in my experience?

I bought my S at Scottsdale. The only time I was there was when I picked it up. While waiting to sign my papers there were several people walking around. None seem to be ignored.
I don't know about test drives, as I never took one there though they were offering them. What color did you want anyway? The only color you cannot order anymore is Oasis Green.

Well, I went back, and things were a little better this time.

The salesperson i spoke to this time, Debbi, was very helpful. The story goes like this:

I can't order an Indi Blue MCS because that is a 2003 color for the S. So, i have to put $1,000.00 down to get on the list, and pay another $1,000.00 to order the car I want, when the color becomes available sometime later this year.

Debbie was my motoring assistant also. I got one that was coming in. Matched by spec. exactly, but also had heated seats and white wheels. Glad I got the WW. They are easier to keep clean then I thought and it makes my car stand out from the other DS S's. I was lucky $1000 down and ordered a week later for another $1000 and got the car a month later.
