Offline | MINI Victoria, good. Not too impressed with the parts(accessories)departments at Canadian dealers.Called Richmond,Yaletown and Vitoria about a few things, they either had no idea what I was talking about or not able to get without a backorder.Called dealer in Tacoma, they had everything I asked about in stock! |

| MINI2 Regular | I'd have nothing but good things to say about MINI Oakville. Granted, I hear there is an 11 month waiting list for an MCS there. Waiting aside, they provided some great service and never failed to welcome me as I stalked their lot waiting for my Cooper to arrive. ![]() |

Offline | Ottawa East MINI was great! The sales people are friendly and helpful but the service department doesn't seem to be ready for MINIs yet. Oh well, it's not like we have a choice here in Ottawa... there's only the one dealer. Offline | Ottawa Mini service department is still not ready for MINIs (August 2002). Long wait for appointments and only one truely qualified mechanic for MINIs - and he's away at present Not impressed with client-relations either "leave car with us and we will let you know when fault is fixed!!" See thread below for background http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...pagenum ber=2 Cooper Liquid Yellow / Black - Sunroof, Sports Pack - 16" run-flat on 5 Star |

Offline | janinax@Ottawa, Sorry to hear about your troubles. I agree that the service dept. at Ottawa East MINI is woefully inadequate and their trouble diagnosing your warning light issue is very worrying. On a lighter note, we had a mini Ottawa MINI meet last night and we would have loved for you to join us, but I have a hard time keeping track of other Ottawa owners. Anyway, check out this thread for info and pictures:http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...pagenu mber=1 Hopefully we'll have another get-together soon with a bigger turn out. PS. Do you live in New Edinburgh or Rockliffe? I've seen a MINI with your spec in the neighbourhood a couple times (I live in New Edinburgh). Offline | There's a MINI in my future... Hey everybody!!! So glad to find some people in my area! I went to Ottawa East recently to test drive the Cooper and the Cooper S! (Ok, I'll be honest, my dad did the testing... I'm still perfecting my standard driving skills! Even though I've been driving for 11 years already!) He said that the S was "ok" but could use a more powerful engine... but keep in mind he has a Z3 (M3)!!! That moves! Anyways, the S will be a BIG improvement from what I'm driving right now!!!I was dealing with... haarrgghh what's her name... her last name is Budd, at Ottawa East. Anybody dealt with her before? Should I consider going to the 2 dealerships in Montreal to get quotes? (Or will Ottawa East be competitive in its prices?) I'd really like to go to one of these car shows... when is the next one??? Thanks guys!!! |

Offline | Re: There's a MINI in my future... Hi Chloe, welcome to MINI2! Yeah, it's nice to see more Ottawa and area folks around here! Her name's Jen and, although I didn't deal with her for the purchase, I have talked to her a few times and she's really nice. As far as shopping around goes, don't waste your time. Every dealer in Canada is selling MINIs for exactly the same price, but some insist on adding Dealer Options (read: Cash Grab). Thankfully, Ottawa East doesn't force you to buy any over-priced options so you get as good a deal as you'll get anywhere in Canada. Well, we don't have anything planned yet, but we'll put a message up in the Meetings forum when we do. We'd love to meet you even if you don't have your MINI yet! Don't mention it! ![]() MINI Cooper Canadian Launch Edition (#338 of 500) Pure Silver/Black, Heated Sport Seats, 16" Five Spokes, Foglights, Chrome Bumper Inserts and More! Ottawa MINI Club |

| MINI2 Master | Had my first disappointment with MINI Markham's Service. I will give them an opportunity to make things right before I spout off on what they've done. I truly believe they are better than this, and it's just an unfortunate sequence of events. Chilli Red/White Cooper S, Sport Pack & Sunroof. Delivered June 12th, 2002!Now with MCS Winter Tire Package. |

Offline | MINI Mont-Royal, Montreal The first salesguy I dealt with was fired before I received the S I ordered. The second one was trying his best but I definitely think that selling MINIs is too much pressure for him. He kept telling me about how it was when he was working for Toyota (hey! I came here to buy a MINI) and how everyone at MINI Mont-Royal has problems dealing with the owner (not reassuring). At the end, that Toyota guy was right about his boss, he is a real pain. I had to cancel my order because there was a mistake in the order and this guy would not take responsability for it. Got my 1 000 $ back. He probably sold the S the next day. And finally, to tell you how much these people are a real joke, I received today two calls from a third sales person telling me that the credit application that I sent over the internet was now approved by BMW and that I could contact him about my new Cooper S. Yo James! I cancelled my order one month ago! These guys make me laugh now, lu-di-crous people. Choose MINI Laval over MINI Mont-Royal otherwise, be prepared for lots of bad surprises. P.S. I sent a complaint to MINI Canada but I am still waiting for an answer from them. The only think I received after sending my letter is a MINI brochure I asked for two months ago, or maybe this was their answer... Last edited by duke2mini : Aug 27th, 2002 at 11:48 PM. |

Offline | Noahe, MINI Markham is good as I think that's the only dealer around GTA (?) which offer free loaner service if you arrange with them ahead of time. But their service department (basically Town & Country) was not up to par. Last time I had to complain to MINI Canada to straight something out... But yeah I believe they should be better. So what did they do to disappoint you? |

Offline | Got letter from MINI Canada today... They're sorry for what happened, they thank me for bringing this matter to their attention, they forwarded my letter to their regional manager in order to discuss this matter with the appropriate people. They cannot compensate me but I understand. Anyhow, I consider this matter now closed. Happy motoring to all of you, I'll buy myself a MINI some other time, from MINI Laval. Offline | hey duke, for what it's worth, the word about mini mt-royal is already out on the street. some guy was asking about my car the other day as it was parked on the street. he was obviously in the buying mode. i mentioned to look up mini laval as i had been dissatisfied with mini mt-royal. " sorry, i dont mean to be nosy but i couldnt help but hear your conversation and i can only agree. i was treated like a bum at mini mt-royal, presumably because i was wearing shorts as the next suited-up customer who walked in was immediately looked after with much attention" -----> comments from a passer-by. mini mont-royal doesnt realize that its best salesmen (women) are its customers. bad service = extremely poor PR. and all because of a little guy's power trip. in the end, the numbers will serve him right... |

Offline | I never miss an occasion to tell my story. The word is definitely on the street. A little bit off topic but I was wondering how are you doing with your S? Read on another thread that you experienced minor problems. Is everything solved? Anyway, I am sure you are enjoying you S to the fullest even with these little glitches. Keep us posted with your latest pictures. |
