sorry but i will never use williams bolton service again

sorry to all of you about another negative post but i really will never use bolton again for servicing

they are incompetent, arrogant, rude, unhelpful, lying, and frankly a waste of time and space

had a day off yesterday and decided to use it to take my brother's mini in for oil service

was booked for over a week

came in to hand car on time early morning

"it seems you dont need a service mr"

"i think i do miss" says I

"ahhh yes the car is over 5 years old and is out of its TLC. so yes you do need a service"

"thank you for kindly accepting my car to be serviced madam" says us (quietly)

"car ready at 5"

while we were there, it was fascinating to see how different customers are treated. guy in a suit with a bmw 1 series is offered a range of different facilities and customer services. he was shown to his courtesy car, was offered coffee/tea and was basically told his car would be ready early even though he came half hour after us.

ok, that i could deal with. i am a professional and i do get respect when i am at work, but for some reason when i am out of work and wearing casual clothes - i get zero respect and usually get treated like crap. well, i didnt think much more of it - as long as out car was serviced well.

well, we had few more issues to mention

"my airbag warning light has been fixed so many times but mysteriously it keeps returning to haunt us. our reverse light is broken. the trim is falling off the a pillar OUTSIDE. my numberplate is MOT illegalised because the ink is smearing. the car has a suspension recall. steering rack is creaking. blah blah blah blah"

"mr we will have a look at those as you mentioned when u booked the car in previously. car ready at 5. will call u if any different"

Well, i waste the whole day waiting for this damn car to be serviced and repaired. thought it would be half day job, so i could actually spend my annual leave more appropriately for rest of day. but no. we dont get any call, no information etc. so we call up at 3 asking progress.

"car is being worked on. ready at 5"

so we come back 15 minutes early (in case they close at five and claim they were waiting for us)

"mr we said car should be ready by 5pm. come back in half hour."

so we drive around looking at sights of bolton including new porsche garage, shell petrol station and local toys r us (after all, maybe we should act like how bmw dealer treated us) and spent some time in subway with local scallies

return to bmw garage

"mr we are waiting for the car to come out of the garage. i have no further details"

i really thought we would be waiting maybe 5-10 minutes. but no, i have a damn dinner rep appointment at 6.30 and i need to rush off by 5.45. well, its now 5.30 and no sign of car.
meanwhile, people are coming by collecting their cars as usual.

then, unbelievably, I see the car being driven in by the service manager. he parks it near and starts inspecting it with his clipboard at 5.40pm. he takes my brother out at 5.50pm and starts questioning what problems he has with car. i may have an IQ of 10 when viewed by williams bolton, but I could see that the car had NOTHING done to it. car was as dirty as when it came in. numberplate was untouched. reverse light broken, steering rack could be heard from inside the service waiting room. damn LIERS!!!!

i was sitting there quietly rumbling ready to erupt.

"we thought you meant the trim was broken on the inside mr (he only checked it at 5.40pm!!!). we couldnt fix the reverse light, nor could we fix the suspension recall. we cant find a fault with steering rack, but if u want a new one it will be 400. car has had oil service (probably at 4.40pm)"

amazingly, they charged 25 quid to diagnose airbag warning light as being faulty.

basically we paid 155 quid to park the car at williams BMW BOLTON for a day.

THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME

i am writing formal complaint to all the people i could think of. and i have told my bro to get rid of the mini. they even had the nerve of asking us to book back in for over a grand's worth of repairs!!!

unbelievable. every experience i have had with williams bolton has been negative.
